Very specific question for you - I know you will avoid it, but I'll pose it anyways: Which MVP candidate in NBA history could you take the #2/3 options off their team, with no replacement, and they beat the NBA champs of that year in a 7 game series?

The Nuggets had a better defensive rating when Jokic was off the floor against the Warriors in the playoffs, framing it as though not having his number 2/3 is the sole reason why they lost is always funny because the Warriors made a killing out of getting Jokic involved in screens and then attacking the rim because he can't rotate and recover. It's why he was in foul trouble in that series, and why all 3 of the Warriors guards shot 50% from the field, it was a turkey shoot and Jokic was the turkey. I don't see how that would be any different with Murray or Porter, you're not winning playoff games in shootouts, especially not vs the Warriors.

It's going to look ridiculous if he wins the MVP while Giannis who is a better two way player is hoisting the NBA trophy, because I doubt many of you Jokic for MVP guys really think they're going to win the title.

Couldn’t nobody eat with Jokic on the court .
All the stats to Jokic.
An entire nba franchise all the stats funneled through him and he the gatekeeper .
Yea he needed help but not enough to get headlines . That’s when I’m done with Jokic and even now as good as a regular season they having now they seem like fluffiest 1 seed since Dirks mavs

Sorry I’m not nugs hater or Jokic hater . Or even an embiid fan but damn mvp to a 6th seed guy doing the same thing he did last year . Couldn't get on board with it ESPECIALLY since the great 7 foot pointguard couldn’t get will Barton or Aaron Gordon to score in double digits in consecutive games .
Whatever mvp yourself mr jokic

He led Will Barton to sixth place in the West that's the feat that your favorite player whoever it is coouldn't ever achieve . Ask yourself where are Will Barton,Facundo Campazzo, Demarcus Cousins today, what importance Austin Rivers,Monte Rivers have on their teams right now thats was the Denver's rotation last season . The last season Jokic 's MVP title was one of the the most deserved title in the history of the NBA. Now you can continue to cry with the rest of ESPN and FOX Sports.

I’m assuming this is satire given how poorly it was written and the fact Gordon scored in single digits only 12 times in 75 games.

Also.. we talking about Will Barton who just got waived by the Wizards?

Ok Gordon was more consistent then I remember still relatively inconsistent until the end of the year .
And Barton was the same tier of scorer of Gordon was last year .
Both guys played better than MPJ last season .

You basing last year off this year that’s an obvious deflect . Yes mpj the guy everybody cries about being gone didn’t even play well with Jokic last year .

Giannis and bucks with gm against 76ers Saturday going for 17 in a row while averaging 123.7 pts a gm. with Giannis in lineup they haven’t lost in two months if this continues and they get to 60 or more wins and best record Giannis going to have a great case for mvp period.

I think Embiid has fallen. He doesn’t have a case over Giannis.

Embiid is fading fast.
Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8

The defensive part of this as well, not to mention the post season stuff, which people say does not matter but we know it does.

Who would you have voted for last year?

You're missing the point. Its not one thing, its everything added up. So in the past record mattered, until it didn't. People failing the postseason like Giannis mattered when he was going for his 3rd MVP, until it just didn't for Jokic. Dirk got killed for after losing the playoffs and he was never getting another vote but that does not matter for Jokic. It just odd.

Maybe people now are more enlightened and don’t dictate their decisions based on the ones dumbasses made in the past?

"Couldn't nobody eat with Jokic on the court" except all the guys benefitting from great looks he created?
"All the stats to Jokic" - like the rebounds he FOUGHT for (leading the entire NBA in contested rebounds) to help his team?
He shot less than a lot of other superstars last year, so I'm a little confused.

Was his playmaking causing other people to "not eat" statistically?
Was his fighting for rebounds vs. opponents (leading NBA in contested rebounds) making it so his teammates couldn't "eat"?
Was him shooting less than a bunch of other stars not giving his teammates the opportunity to "eat"?

Alls I know is that Giannis team won two…TWO!…games in the ECF when he was injured. Two series clinching wins.

The Bucks are a STACKED team. They had a 3-0
Stretch recently where Giannis played a tots of 15 minutes.

Y’all gonna need a little more than team record because his team seems to win fine without him.

But Giannis is everything to the bucks from making a good team into a great team that is going on a historic run right now and if it continues with him dominating to end the regular seasons he will win mvp

I don't know who needs to hear this but the Giannis & Jokic 3rd MVP season campaigns aren't really the same...

Bucks went from GIannis's 2nd MVP season .767 win and #1 in the NBA to #3 in the East the following season (.635 win %).

Nuggets are going from .585% win rate (tied for 10th in NBA) to .698% win rate (1st in East). All while Jokic is playing the best ball of his career.
