Westbrook should of gone back to the Wizards. He seemed happy there. Los Angeles just isn't for him lol.

first i've heard of it. but i highly doubt hann's gonna say anything like this without it having some truth. and if it is true, boy isn't that something?

i'd heard from other posters (not legit sources) that lue was really trying to prove a point with how he was forcing certain lineups. and there's been a divide between him and the top for a while. perhaps it's all true. would make sense, wouldn't it?

Russ is going to be the media's scapegoat for this team's implosion even though we've sucked all year, long before he arrived. That's probably half the reason PG wanted him so badly, if we're being honest. This is a very toxic team right now with no accountability.

I wrote this a few days ago and got accused of "narrative" lol.

Kawhi & PG were unhappy with the makeup of the team and pushed for changes. They got what they asked for. IMO, Ballmer pushed the button now to bring it to a head rather than crawl into next year with total uncertainty.

Forget the coaching and pumping Terance Mann and scapegoating Morris. Frankly, this team is going nowhere with PG playing like this. It was always on PG's head.

Still with the Kawhi wanted to change the team narrative. All Kawhi did was to back up what PG wanted. What was he supposed to say?

This team has turned into Clown City. It's such a bummer but I guess I shouldn't be surprised with how the last few years have gone.

It just sucks seeing a team like the Lakers yesterday missing Lebron, AD and DLO and they still pull out a win. This team has no heart and is mentally weak.

"i'm ready to win 95% of the rest of our games because he really is the missing piece

i'm also ready to see the team go 0-21 because lue plays westbrook 39 MPG trying to make it work, get fired, then go on to say "well i coach off a card and it said because he's a former MVP i needed to play him a lot"

it ain't lookin good, guys

Russ is just a cancer at this point. I feel bad for saying it because he's not a cancer in a Kyrie way. He's a great teammate and doesn't have off the court issues like Kyrie.

I've seen Covington clank enough three pointers. He's not a difference maker.

Clippers were 10-4, Lawrence Frank had to go overboard and mess up the chemistry. Unless Lue is sending a message to the FO with his constant experimenting with lineups, he should relegate Westbrook to the bench.

Couldn't disagree more. This team has been trash all season. Four games with Russ (where he's only been bad in one of them) is not why we're a first-round exit at best this year. This team and coach wasted the easy part of the schedule from October to January doing the same stuff they're doing now, and Russ wasn't there for any of that.

Realistically, the whole team needs to be traded away and rebuilt, except for the young players. How's Ballmer going to sell overpriced Intuit Dome tickets for an even slower, even older version of this mess?

Adding Westbrook didn't make the team better, it made them worse. Not because of his play but because of poor fit. Westbrook isn't a starter in this league. And you're forgetting that Kawhi load manages, how many games has he missed this season?

I'm asking you where you got the "Kawhi wanted to trade for newer players" narrative from. It's perfectly possible that I didn't read about it. Share some links please. The only time Kawhi said something was when he was asked about Westbrook.

the tweet has been deleted--what did it say?

Lucas adds this

which is obvious, and sorry, I leave this at Kawhi and PG's feet, either together or separately

this is THEIR team
whoever they wanted gone is gone
Russ is here at their behest but do you see them put their heads together, huddling, planning???

DO YOU?

they don't even work together as a duo
no two-man game
no high-fives
no calling team meetings

they're supposed to be the face of the franchise but their attitude is SORRY I JUST WORK HERE

I can easily see this team losing their next four to five games:

@Sacramento (tomorrow)
Memphis (2nd seed in the west)
Toronto (maybe a win here)
New York (on a 7 game win streak)
Golden State (terrible road record)

Yep and now it's not as simple as letting him go, the damage is done to the teams psyche. That's what happens when you listen to a low IQ player in PG. Him and Westbrook are two of the most uncluth players in the league. There's a reason they always underperformed on the Thunder.

The front office also gets blame for having no backbone.

Disclaimer: I don't really blame this too much on Westbrook. For what it's worth I think he has done okay with us.

If they don't turn this around soon, they won't make the play in.

I could see them losing that last game to the Lakers toward the end of the season and the Lakers make it in instead of them

No Kawhi tomorrow apparently. Teams struggling and he is still going to pull this load management crap. This is why Kawhi is not a leader.

Edit: And now PG says he will play tomorrow depending how he feels after sleep. These guys have 0 pride. Frankly I'd be fine if we blew it up after the season if this is the attitude our top guys have.

Return to Los Angeles Clippers
