Where would peak Dr.J rank in todays league?

Top 10 sounds harsh to a legend but the current league is just too talented

Definitely inside top 10, given all the injuries we have I can see him inside top 3 with Giannis and Jokic, though I guess Embiid and Doncic have reasonable cases over him and Tatum is a wildcard. Curry is there as well, although he missed too much time for me to consider him.

That gives us top 6 at worst, but realisitcally more like top 3.

Durant is on pace to play ~50 games and I don't see him as better than peak Julius.

LeBron is on pace to play ~60 games and he misses time right now. I also struggle to see James as better than peak Julius at this point.

Davis played even less games than Durant and outside of a brief moment a few months ago, he's just not that good. Since he came back, I don't even see him as all-nba level player in the last month.

Kawhi is not close.

I think people should pay more attention to missed games. Even if you think that Durant is more valuable player than Julius, 30 games advantage is a massive value for your team.

We can't assume that current Kawhi is healthy, he hasn't been healthy in years. Same with AD and even Durant. That's the whole point.

Anyway, I don't see any case for "healthy" Kawhi or AD either way. They are not on peak Julius level anyway.

I think I'd only take Jokic over him at this point in the season. I see him as a comparable player to Giannis. Top 3.
