Green Light Oubre is bad for business, but great for the tank

My thing is with the Miles situation, and having 4 picks I woulda shut down Melo for the season to maximize on them and tried to come back strong next year. His ceiling is about what it probably will be so I don't see the need to have played him.

Classic Oubre. He had 3 good games to start coming off the bench for 3 straight games all with + (+/-).

Then last night, we jammed him into starting lineup with no point guard. Down 2 starters in Ball and PJ and he went back to his shoot first ways. It is a bad role for him to have to be a top 2/3 option. He is better as a microwave 15-20 off the bench.

Thor sucks, he legit could play all 48 mins and still find a way to score sub 4 points.

Cliff just refuses to admit that Terry is not a point guard. Just bring Kelly Off the Bench and start Dennis and bring Theo back from the Swarm to be the backup. It's not that f****** hard.

The only thing I can think of is he was worried about having 3 non shooters on the floor with Mark, Dennis and Thor.

Once we get PJ back, starting Dennis is a lot easier.

Yeah I totally understand the need for shooting in that lineup. But Terry is such a ball stopper when he is the lead guard. He doesn't really create anything other than shots for himself and eats up huge chunks of the shot clock in the process. Ugh!

I know Cliff would never do it, but I one wrinkle could be Gordon at power forward and Oubre at small forward with Dennis as the PG. Lose Thors length on D, but gain everywhere else. Hell, start Svi. Lol.,

Anyway, none of it really matters. Sigh.

Just like Kelly put up 30 shots a game. At least it's entertaining to watch him shoot.

Cliff's just rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. I don't really care as long as the young guys get burn, which they have recently.

My only concern about Terry at PG is that it makes him look like **** and tanks his trade value. Though even that probably doesn't matter since the front office seems to view him as a major part of the core.

Terry doesn't have trade value and his play won't really change it. That contract is too long and too high of a number for any playoff team to want him.

I just hope that this team emulates the Thunder and guys like Rozier and Hayward get mysteriously injured for a month so we can figure out which young guys are worth rostering next season

Id rather start Theo if he’s worried about shooting, just to get Rozier off the ball

The NBA is so dynamic, things change basically every 4-6 months. Rozier contract looks bad right now, just like Gordons. Wait until after this summer when teams are throwing piles and piles of money at DLO, Jerami Grant, Kuzma, Trent Jr. etc...

Also, once teams like Portland, Atlanta, Knicks, Wolves etc etc realize they are not good enough to get out of the first round things will shift. Just like when Philly, Miami, Mavs, Warriors realize they are not real title contenders... at least 3-4 teams will shake things up this summer and that means more potential for landing spots once all the loose change shakes out.... but yes as of right now it is hard to find good landing spots for our vets.
