He has 2 years, $34.8M left on his contract. $17.4M in each of the next two seasons.

Only $7.6M of next year's salary is guaranteed. If the Magic release him, they'll eat $7.6M, but create $9.8M in additional cap space.

His entire 24-25 salary of $17.4M is non-guaranteed.

We have until next January to make next season fully guaranteed, so we can enjoy this ride for 10 more months

For sure but I bet this isn't the last we'll see of him in a magic jersey. All of these 'loyalty' contracts (JI's, Fultz', MCW, etc) have to make you think that, if he can get healthy, he'll be playing for the magic at some point again.

Let's not make a mountain out of a molehill either. He'll be ready to play by the time training camp comes around. He's just not worth his contract any longer with his health concerns.

If the tear is high on the adductor tendon, recovery can be significantly slower and take approximately 12-16 weeks. A tear to the mid-belly of the muscle will typically take between 4 and 12 weeks to heal depending on the severity of the tear. In rare circumstances, you may require crutches to assist your walking.

I would say unbelievable but it's actually very much believable. Hopefully next year is the last year we kick the tires on this. Not his fault but he just cant stay healthy. After taking forever to get back he played 11 games with no back to backs and under 20 minutes a game. Still got hurt again. Its just not gonna happen for him.

Like Knightro said there is still a lot of time here. The team still has time to see how he is healing, use his high contract number for trade bait, see how he fares with a larger amount of time on the court, see how the draft shakes out, and more considerations until they need to make a decision to cut.

Sucks for him, but on the extremely optimistic side we got to see how he fared when he played and he was solid. I think if he flopped in his limited minutes it would have been curtains but he played just well enough to get one last shot in this window between that next year being guaranteed.

Fingers crossed it works out in SOME way for our team. This has been one long annoying saga to shoulder through.
