People make it way too complicated, 2014 is basically LeBron's peak on offense and his defense wouldn't be nearly as mediocre in RS if he didn't come out of 2 titles in a row. He just coasted because he could - in the end, he still carried old Heat squad to the finals in the playoffs.

It's also strange that people still put all the blame for 2014 loss on LeBron. After all these years...

How is that possible if Giannis is easily the best player in the league? And no, Jokic is not better than prime Bron with that defense.

The Giannis or Jokic argument is always gonna be based on their playoff defense, if Giannis hits another gear and if Jokic is a huge playoff liability defensively which he has been so far

I agree bron would be the best regardless, and have Giannis as the best in the league atm, but if Jokic can prove he can be fine on defense in the playoffs I don’t think it would be any big gap (between Giannis or Jokic)

Jokic has the worst defense of a star big man ever. People need to stop it. People did the same thing with Harden where they magically ignored defense and for Jokic, it’s even worse since he protects the rim

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

So like, his regular season defense is fine, his playoff defense has been the issue so far.

I don’t get why ur responding to me tho lol, I said if he proves he can be fine on defense in the playoffs then it’s ok, I think imo he has to do that though, and if he’s act like really bad then it would mean that he’s a offensive top tier guy with horrible defense which is gonna drop him a lot of spots

Like Jokic with good to decent defense = top 10 peak probably

Jokic with passable defense = top 15 peak probably

Jokic with bad defense = top 20 peak probably

Jokic with defense as bad as the data seems to imply = outside of the top 20 probably

^^^^idk skmething like that

Don’t think there should be much controversy behind that
