GT: Nets @ Boston Celtics- 7:30- 3-3-23

Post#1 » by Stone » Fri Mar 3, 2023 11:33 pm

We are going into this one have lost 10 straight to the Celtics. Tonight is Tatum's 25 birthday, so you could be sure he is going to want to light it up tonight. It is a Friday night game in Boston and if it even remotely close I expect a playoff type crowd noise.

We are overdue for some hot hands. It is going to take more than one or two to compete tonight. We need to keep chipping away and try to get a little better every game.

I read Brogden is out.

Ben, Yuta and Sumner are out for us as well.

This team should just tank and let Cam T be the tank commander.

Unwatchable team. Skill deficient and playing with deflated spirit.

End this season now. Mikal, Clax are keepers. Just let Cam loose for the rest of the season, enjoy the 40 point outbursts and rack up the losses for a better pick.

I'd also like to see Ben back in these garbage time games. He's immeasurably better at getting our guys shots compared to Dinwiddie.

They should've just stayed in the hotel and forfeited this game. Embarrasing...

It's shocking how uncompetitive we are. G League teams would legit do better than this. Teams are trying to tank and they're not getting smacked like this. We clearly should've looked harder at flipping the Dallas and Phoenix guys for draft picks at the deadline.

3 of our last 5 have been wire to wire blowouts. Not one second of competitive play. That's actually hard to do.

Crazy how bad we are defensively. Like shocking.

With the players we have this shouldn't be the case. The offense I get.

Marks has to be fired this offseason. These acquisitions are garbage. We would have been better off riding with a disgruntled Ky and KD.

I don't know with you guys, but with the beat down that we've been getting the past few days, I'd rather we tank the remaining games and get the best pick possible.

I have no faith in this team as currently constructed, and will take no pleasure rooting for a play-in appearance with false hopes.

Let's see if the basketball gods smile at us at the lottery...

Very disappointing to be talking about the lottery but here we are.

Watch the Suns game and understand why KD didn't want to be here

We placed him into a terrible situation yet went out of our way to humiliate his kooky but talented friend at every turn. KD is staying poker faced for diplomacy's sake but he is rapt he's outta here.

Forget JV and Marks, they're just yesmen. Tsai needs to sell.

They showed more heart in the final 2 mins of the 1st half than the last 3 blow out games combined...

No we didn't. He came here because he wanted to run his own show. We paid for his rehab and brought in his friends. KD wanted to leave when he realized that simply scoring 30ppg is not enough to be a franchise player. You have to show resiliency and leadership. But KD just kept saying "I just wanna hoop". He let the Nets down and shown that he is just a role player.

KD's legacy will always be tied to Steph as a 1-B a.k.a. the bus rider...

Both can be true. As management it's your job to know your personnel on and off court. KD is no bus driver but he's also an all-time talent, both of those have been no secret for a long time.

Knowing this a rookie coach was hired and we all go all in with a supporting cast of Kyrie, Harden, and Simmons which could be the 3 worst choices you can make when it comes to finding a leader with a max salary. You are then forcing KD into the leadership role which hes I'll suited for, with no picks going forward, little flexibility and also no certainty that Kyrie will even be around.
