If you really wanna see something eye opening go look at Denver's schedule and check out their next 9 opponents. A bunch are on the road, yeah, but wow.

Fox showing Westbrook a lot of love at the end of the game to the press. Very cool to hear

I mean you guys are a contender I think
Suns are for sure, Mavs could be, Nuggets could be
Lakers could be if they were healthy
Clippers were pre Russ....not sure with him, good teams will play him well like last night

Ya and if we are being honest, if your offensive possession ends with a wide open MPJ jumper, open Murray jumper, open KCP jumper, Gordon open slashing to the bucket. That should be viewed as a great offensive possession.
Absolutely. I almost said something when you posted that nobody can hit anything and he should just start taking over. Which is obviously an option. But I'm putting the ball in his hands, letting him create and living with whatever the results are. It's just too bad that he doesn't really have a true No. 2 guy, instead of a handful of 3s. A legit All-NBA type wingman and they'd be almost unbeatable.
Yup and if they flame out in the playoffs this year, I won’t be shocked if they try and make that move.
Because the thing is, if a defender sells out on stopping Jokic and will live with giving good looks to everyone else. If those shots aren’t falling, they need a true #2 that can create his own consistently. Also when they stagger the lineup, have that #2 lead that 2nd unit.
The thing is Murray played to that level in the bubble. And on a less talented team than this one they went to the WCF. But the thing is the difference between a legit #2 and what Murray has been is the consistency. And I’m not personally sold that Murray will ever be that guy consistently. We will see though.
I don't see it either. Really, that's ultimately what separates the true studs with the lessers -- consistency. Anybody can have a good month, a good playoff series, whatever. But doing it night after night after night after night is what separates the men from the boys. One of the things I really like about Denver, in lieu of having a true second star, is that at least Jokic and his supporting cast complement each other well. Not like anybody would struggle to fit in next to him. (Except Russell Westbrook.) But you want shooting around a playmaker of his caliber. They probably don't shoot enough 3s, to be honest.

Russ played his butt off in that game. He should get respect.

Good game by Minny.
As a Laker fan, the bright side is the Jazz, Pels, Blazers, and the Clippers lost.
Also so did Boston...it's really not relevant to the Laker playoff hopes but it's always good news when those dudes lose.

It'a not even a back handed compliment to say that their defense has been good "for once" - it's simply false
Even if u wanna look at the entire season thaey have abiyt a top 10 defense
Same goes for posters clamoring about Jokic gonna be targeted etc
Good luck with that, as thet say

We just have to disagree what a good defense is, we had numbers showing how good Denver is defensively before
Tonight they legit played good defense, not because of the numbers but because of how they covered and Jokic was the one that that made a huge difference on that end.
it wasn't a backhand compliment it was legit compliment for the Denver.

Yeah they sailed through the toughest stretches of the schedule quite smoothly, so now they only gonna get more leverage in the West with that remaining schedule.maxwellcu wrote:If you really wanna see something eye opening go look at Denver's schedule and check out their next 9 opponents. Denver beating Mem really solidifies their 1st seed chances.
If Clarke injury is what it looks, Memphis is gonna feel real stupid with trading away Melton for peanuts

No one mentions Jokic's defense he did a great job doubling Murant. I like how RJ said they will just pnr Jokic to death. You saw the results. Great defensive effort by Jokic.

THE KINGS DID IT!
By defeating Clippers to win the season series, Sacramento is officially back in the playoffs! Playoff drought of 16 years is over.
They've also won the Pacific Division, their first one in 20 years! Congratulations!
(This is what happens when you face the Clippers. Magical things always happen)

Edwards is a monster, and Conley is the perfect fit next to him. I'm still iffy on the KAT and Gobert duo, and the lack of depth is concerning, but they definitely won't be an easy first round out.

If Mem lost Clarke tonight and in general just dropping games for a while, still no Adams etc - the Kings are gonna finish 2nd imoWammy Giveaway wrote:By defeating Clippers to win the season series, Sacramento is officially back in the playoffs! Playoff drought of 16 years is over.

Yup. Since mid December Denver has been the 4th best defense in the league. Jokic on the defensive side is elite when it comes to his hands, and his space awareness. He’s usually very very good at being in the right space and funneling his guy to the right areas. Ya he’s not a good rim protector, but he’s usually very good at preventing guys from getting to that spot. Tonight (especially in the 2nd half) was a great example of that.

The one time I root for the Lakers they lose. Figures.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Clippers got robbed. Questionable foul on Sabonis, and then no call on PG 3.
