Today’s NBA is just unwatchable. I can’t watch the full 48 minutes like I used to. If it’s a close game in the last 3 minutes or so, sure I’d tune in.

That and our team just sucks.

Officially in 8th and a straight .500 team.

We aren't as bad as that shows though. Hopefully, this 9 out of 10 at home gets us back to form.

Ideally I want Mann to start not because Russ has been bad but he can shoot a three. If this was our 2021 when Ibaka was healthy I think that would have been perfect for Russ. Having 2 non shooters hurts us in the starting lineup.

I'm not sure if I would have Gorden or Roco start at the 4 and have the other be the backup. I just feel Russ would be better than Mann is coming off the bench and Mann does pretty good with Kawhi and PG. Bench Morris and keep Bones on a short leash.

one thing that kinda popped up into my mind was how reminiscent this game was of last season's games.

paul george playing like a legit all-star, making big shots and big plays, doing some dorky stuff here and there sure, but you just felt the team forming around him so that everybody could push the pile forward. seriously one of those games where you're like "oh man, with kawhi back at full strength, nobody's gonna score on us, EVER." and that in itself was exciting, and a lot of fun, win or lose.

but sadly, when we actually did get our roster fully healthy, all of that goodwill was depleted over and over for obvious reasons. and with lue at the helm i'm not seeing that coming back. kawhi and paul george are ill-fits together. and even at full strength, the guys that need to play are the ones who play the least, or not at all.

it's too bad.

Yup, that fourth quarter comeback was pretty good. Overall a decent performance. Lost the rebound battle as usual, but only had 7 turnovers while the Kings had 11. Kings also shot 26-26 from the line. One or two misses and the comeback would've been complete.

Even though Russ fumbled that pass, he had a good game overall and his energy really sparked the team.
Hyland was just... ugh... 1-9.

I have no clue as to why BBJ isn't way ahead of these two on the depth chart as far as that extra fill in guy for injuries and load management role. Russ, PG, and RoCo(good to see you) were overall solid. I just watched it about ten times already and Sabonis wasn't even fouled on that last play. That was some total bullsh*t by the refs! Lue also not having Plumlee in the game on that last possession for defense was also a crime. Another game we had control of in the end and blew it. I guess its sadly back to DNP's for RoCo. It was fun while it lasted. Memphis on Sunday. We'll see how that goes

Everything comes down to Zubac's health at this point. With Zu on the floor, then Lue has to decide if he still starts Morris. Chances are he does. So, it may make the most sense to put Mann on the court with the starters with Zu back. Westbrook and Plumlee have been developing chemistry. Keep them in the same unit together and sub them in when everyone, but Kawhi goes out and add Gordon and Batum/RoCo. Then, sub out Kawhi with with RoCo/Batum. Maybe the team needs less PG and Kawhi together on the court and no time where both are off it.

No Bones.

People will blame Westbrook, but Gordon needed to hold the ball. Sac had to foul and he was the better FT shooter. Instead, he jumps and flings a high cross court pass.

Looking at that replay again. RoCo didn't help his teammates out. He was walking up the court. If he had sprinted and made it to the front court, Gordon would have had another option and could have swung the ball to Batum.

It was like RoCo was trying to stay away from getting the ball. Almost as if he wanted the best FT shooter in the front court to have the ball for the Kings to foul.

Props for taking the blame, despite it not being all on him, but this is just part of the Russ experience. Even when he has a solid game, having him out there in the clutch will often lead to such moments.

Gordon was in the right to pass the ball as they could have easily tied him up for a jump ball or stolen it from him. Westbrook was wide open and could have taken the ball in from a dunk. Westbrook had a good game, but that was a glaring error

he didn't really have the time to go all the way to the basket. That was a good shot and it looked like he got hit on the arm.

He is the main reason why they even had a chance to win the game

There's that. So at least we can put the 'play Bones and play Coffey' bleat to rest.

One miracle at a time. Maybe Mann should be in the starting lineup but it's easy to ride on that cart. PG is your point guard and Kawhi is your power forward. One or both is being double teamed so you're open 90% of the time.

Hey, we might have to go back to that but Kawhi and PG were NOT happy playing out of position creating easy baskets for some kid averaging 8 points a game lifetime and still only 9 points per game this year.

We're not talkin' a Booker or Donovan Mitchell or Ja or Trae or any of these prodigies who have already stacked up 20+ ppg seasons. Were talking about Terance Mann who's 26 1/2 years old* and PG and Kawhi are supposed to make toom for HIM??

It's insulting.

Not saying PG and Kawhi are right or wrong but TERANCE MANN is not going to win you a fkn title. Not saying they're right or wrong but this is NOT what they signed up for here.

_______________

*Yes, Born: October 18, 1996 (Age: 26-136d)

8 ppg lifetime. 27 years old next season and never done squat. And they wouldn't trade him???

this org has serious reality issues

Agree. But he makes $40M a year. That he tried and failed and didn't get the foul call is small consolation.

I guess catching a basketball is too much to ask.
