If you can believe it, years back, say when Hart was a soph, there were a ton of posters on the VU board who didn't think anyone on the team was a future NBA player (Hart, JB, Donnie D, Mikal, Ochefu (1 season), Ryan A., and probably more)

Gotta give Randle his props right now, man persevered in the PRESSURE COOKER that is NY sports. Had one of the WORST seasons under the bright lights last year, and has REBOUNDED to his All NBA form. He could have had that "Brooklyn" attitude and been a malcontent, but seems like he looked in the mirror and manned up. Salute. We knew he had the potential. Playing with Brunson has unlocked him like playing with D Rose did.

Durant looked in the mirror and decided not only does he like what he saw but deemed it perfect; the Nets and NYC with all the flaws.

Randle looked in the mirror and saw that he needed to balance being a father and husband with being a good teammate and person while still being an excellent player and that something in his attempt to balance it all had him out of wack and lashing out. And he identified whatever it was (not easy) and fixed it (really not easy)

i thought grimes could've gotten more minutes over hart, butler did nothing but pass the ball whenever grimes was guarding him.

Nah, you guys looking at offense too much. Grimes was lost on defense quite a bit from what I saw. There's a reason Hart has the highest +/- in the game. He was doing the little things out there.

Not looking nearly as lost as the entire Lakers team all season long. League will probably gift you Wenby with your 1% chance at the #1 pick so understandable you have no worries as a fan, as league office always takes care of your team.

No doubt, Julius did something that is really, really RARE for NY athletes. How many guys have done that under such pressure? He worked his way back from being persona non grata to many Knick fans to a guy who (alongside Brunson) is leading the charge to what could be one of the all time Knick regular season runs. He deserves credit. Winning cures all ills. But the introspection Randle may have found after such a terrible season is his redemption song. And New Yorkers will always have a soft spot for that kind of comeback.

Def didn't agree with taking out IQ for RJ / Hart. But Thibs racking up the Ws.

what a weird move not just because of the game IQ was having but the way the Heat were trapping and doubling, you need 3pt shooting to combat it

He didn't want to burn him out. It was a good stagger and RJ had some protection with Hart next to him.

So Knicks was out there with a leagues worst D but playing at #1 level offensive efficiency again .
Moved up to # 5 efficient offense on the year .

Look the defense can fluctuate. We see in the playoffs top teams get their top defenses obliterated off the court. It’s pro sports by the end if the season defenses are lucky to stop anything based on league wide opening up the game parameters .
