26 is still young. In 4 years Bridges will be 30. Keep developing the youth. See if Simmons can come back and be himself next year.
No need to panic and trade all our picks. Please!
What youth? Aside from Clax who is worth developing? Thomas is a B- level prospect. I would be shocked if he is a rotation player in 4 years.
Simmons is cooked. I don't know what more proof you guys need. His numbers have dropped every single year since his rookie season. There is nothing wrong with him. This is who he is. The longer he stays here, the worse the contract will get.
The worse move the Nets can make is no moves due to PTSD.
We'll have 2 picks in this draft and our core of Cam J, Bridges and Claxton can still get better. Bro we are not getting rid of Simmons, what don't u understand that NO team out there wants him? We can't just shove him down anybody throat, it's not going to happen. And It won't be smart to use 2 draft picks just to get rid of him and his contract. Just play him next year while he's here and hope he can up his value then we trade him at the trade deadline or next year IF a team is interested and that's a big if. He still has a skill set that we can use right now, we need a ball handler, passer and we can always use another defender.
The team is still young, 26 years old is still young, when Bridges turn 32 or even 30 then you start to wonder. But until now we need to have patience, we cannot rush the process. I like our little core we have now, if we get a star guard then we'll be in great shape but we need the RIGHT star guard. Not Lavine, not Dame or Beal, older guys that's already injury prone and is ready to fall off the cliff at any moment and not to mention they'll definitely miss 20 plus games for injury or load management. That is not the smart thing to do. The game is getting younger and faster. Look at how the league caught up with KD and Lebron already. Just draft well and develop until a real YOUNG star player in their primes asks out.
