I watched The Consultant on Amazon last night. Totally bonkers lol (like seriously, some crazy ish goes down). There are some things they could have done better imo but I enjoyed the ride. Christoph Waltz is amazing. Only eight 30 minute episodes so not a huge time investment.

This is cool.
I only just found out that Trugoy passed away a couple of weeks ago. That sucks balls, he was only 54. I hate that musical heroes of mine who are not that much older than me have been passing away recently, MF Doom, Biz Markie, Gift of Gab, Trugoy etc.

Makes me feel old. Meanwhile KRS-ONE still has breath control like a 19 year old on some songs he dropped last summer.

I can't tell you how much this was needed and awaited. Had a crap day and this and a C's win may just save the day.

Well, too bad about the game. At least you can pump Plug Tunin' or In The Woods really loudly on Spotify now.

Yeah the game blew . But I started with "Brakes" from the Stakes Is High album and worked my way through the rest, certainly including "In The Woods". Love Shortie No Mass.

Highly recommend “19-2” about the lives & loves of cops in a MONTREAL precinct. 3 seasons.
Hooked me in.
SD could probably watch it without subtitles! LOL.

Haha, no, the French spoken in a Quebec precinct would be waaay out of my league.
I didn't even know this show existed. I see they made an English version of it too, also had a positive critical reception.

I binged it.
I just told my youngest femme about it.
She took 10 years of French (one of 2 majors) & I am curious how much she understands.
I took 10 years of Spanish (as I have mentioned before), pero he olvidado muchisimo porque no he practicado.
I have lost a bunch of vocabulary & some verb declinations. Pero, once upon a time, yo podia leer en espanol Don Quixote y entonces, write a critique.
Feel free to correct my dilapidated Spanish. LOL.

I wish more artists added all their 12's to streamers like Spotify. For example, I have a copy of the Breakadawn 12" which has one of my favourite De La Soul tracks on the B-Side, "Lovely How I Let My Mind Float" with Biz Markie.
I would love to be able to listen to this track in the car or riding my bike more easily, especially since my turntables are currently in storage. Maybe De La Soul will add them eventually.

Nothing easier than just keeping your favorite tunes in your phone -- whether in mp3, mp4, aac, ogg, or whatever your preferred format is -- so you can chill to them anytime without needing to be online.
I use streaming mostly for discovering new tunes, and rediscovering old, forgotten ones.

Daisy Jones and the Six! Claflin and Keough have terrific chemistry. Only three episodes so far. That, Poker Face, and TLOU are my early favorite new shows of the year. Also recommending the BBC show SAS: Rogue Heroes (from last year) for people who loved Slow Horses.
For Harrison Ford fans, both 1923 (from Yellowstone-verse) and Shrinking (with Jason Segel) are both good enough to pass the time. The English Woman with Blunt would kick 1923’s ass though if they met in the playoffs.

Mr. E, you seem to be a conscientious physician, so no aspersions cast against you, but the Medical Profession and Policy
Makers basically trashed themselves with the Covid Hysteria and Massacre. Lock Downs were killers, masks were useless
and the vaccines in the end, didn't appear to be anywhere as effective as natural immunity, and seemingly much less safe.
And their precious reprobations against the use of alternative treatments like ivermectin, which seemed to be effective,
certainly made them responsible for an exaggerated amount of deaths.
And who would trust the NIH, after they apparently sponsored gain of function research in foreign labs (because
they weren't allowed to do so in the US on this particular biota of pathogens), as well as reaping
a whirlwind of profits and power from the hysteria?
There needs to be investigations, trials and convictions. Not that little of anything like this will happen.
They don't call it Big Pharma for nothing.
As regards the upswing in colorectal cancer, this is likely a factor of our modern diet and policies.
This emphasis on avoiding fats and cholesterol is insane.
Have you seen what the French eat?
And cholesterol rather than a bad thing is a feature of good nutrition. Twenty percent of our brain is cholesterol,
and it plays an even greater role in our sex hormones.
So bring on the pork, and an added benefit, high in B Complex vitamins.
And I just saw somewhere, that they found a goodly amount of antioxidants in beef.
Medical wise, E, I'm excited about supplements like Curcumin, Resveratrol, Piperine, and Nattokinase (a new wonder thingy)
and you can never have enough Zinc, Vitamin D and Copper (to a lesser extent)

1) I am NOT going to restart my year long Covid thread from a couple of years ago.
Promised the mods not to.
2) I will respond ONCE right now & never again.
3) I am a Professor of Medicine, an enormously experienced endocrinologist/internist & massively well informed. Believe this or do not. Do not care.
4) Everything I posted back then was backed up by REAL SCIENCE in the BEST peer reviewed journals in the world written by the SMARTEST infectious disease docs & epidemiologists in the world.
None of these people or me are in cahoots with Big Pharma. I have been dedicated to excellence in the practice & teaching of medicine for many many decades.
5) 99% of what you wrote about Covid is totally & completely incorrect & VERY dangerous misinformation.
6) The vaccines were & remain a MIRACLE & saved at least 1-2 million lives at the very least. And they were & remain MASSIVELY SAFE in comprehensive risk benefit analyses.
7) The combination of natural immunity PLUS up to date bivalent boosting may protect more than vaccination in the never infected. But natural immunity by itself - NOT THE CASE.
8) Long Covid will adversely impact countless millions of Americans for many many years to come.
https://www.vumedi.com/video/new-studies-on-long-covid-19-a-multi-system-disorder/?token=eada1f4b-6405-409b-84f6-a9adef778508&utm_source=All%20Users%2C%20%3E15%20mins%20COVID%201/13/22%20-%207/13/22_110358&utm_medium=Video&utm_campaign=%5BAll%20Users%2C%20%3E15%20mins%20COVID%201/13/22%20-%207/13/22%5D%20New%20Studies%20on%20Long%20COVID%2019%3A%20A%20Multi%20System%20Disorder&utm_content=New%20Studies%20on%20Long%20COVID%2019%3A%20A%20Multi%20System%20Disorder&utm_term=COVID-19%20Prevention&link_data=eyJidWxrX21haWxfYWN0aW9uIjoiYyIsInJlY2lwaWVudF9pZCI6MTY1OTM4NjMwNywibWFpbF9pZCI6MTEwMzU4fQ%3A1pbTkG%3Auhx_hrCvESt2GIjYvSsWwsVIFhPpu8eP57m_5XPOoNc&mail_id=110358
9) Masking was enormously efficacious & remains so to this day - especially in the at risk elderly & immunocompromised of any age.
10) Ivermectin & other blatantly false remedies put out there were definitively shown to be ABSOLUTELY & COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. GARBAGE.
11) On the other hand;
A) The messaging by the CDC & the FDA was handled very very poorly.
B) The smartest people out there remain unsure if this virus leaked from a ‘gain of function’ research lab in Wuhan or from bats in a Wuhan market. If the former, this is unforgivable.
Everything I posted about the never ending diabetes mellitus/obesity pandemic & about the need to screen at a younger age for colon cancer is absolutely & categorically correct. Smart people will pay attention to it. Stupid people will not & suffer the consequences.
As an endocrinologist, I know 100000 times more than you do about how to diagnose & treat hyperlipidemia/hypercholesterolemia - which remains one of the primary risk factors for coronary artery disease & cerebrovascular disease in America. Much of what you wrote is WRONG.
I will not respond to you further about any of this.
Have a nice day.
