And Doc Rivers got Doc Rivers fired.
I’m old enough to remember people asking for him not to be brought up around here.

paul george playing like a legit all-star, making big shots and big plays, doing some dorky stuff here and there sure, but you just felt the team forming around him so that everybody could push the pile forward. seriously one of those games where you're like "oh man, with kawhi back at full strength, nobody's gonna score on us, EVER." and that in itself was exciting, and a lot of fun, win or lose.
Oh man was that the talk of the board, because that team just fought through so much and our record was a lot better than anyone would have predicted given all the missed games.
but sadly, when we actually did get our roster fully healthy, all of that goodwill was depleted over and over for obvious reasons. and with lue at the helm i'm not seeing that coming back. kawhi and paul george are ill-fits together. and even at full strength, the guys that need to play are the ones who play the least, or not at all.
it's too bad.
All the these parts were there in 2020/21, and that team played up to its upside. Our upside is significantly lower now, but I still think it’s at least a possibility we get through this tough stretch and emerge better before the playoffs.
Again, even reaching that upside likely means 2nd round exit. But they are capable of playing games that are at least fun to watch as fans, rather than the couple of slogs before last night.

How that went right through Westbrook's hands is beyond me, but of course he was too excited to go and forgot to get the ball first. I suppose EJ could have left himself be fouled too, but Kings had +2 on the shot clock and timeouts remaining.

But according to this poster, everybody got Doc fired except Doc's own inept coaching.
In almost every post, this guy hates Mann, calls him a G leaguer and constantly keeps telling us how the Clippers are going to die this summer when everyone is going to leave and ask to be traded. But, this guy has the audacity to call other posters vultures. Go figure!

We're not talkin' a Booker or Donovan Mitchell or Ja or Trae or any of these prodigies who have already stacked up 20+ ppg seasons. Were talking about Terance Mann who's 26 1/2 years old* and PG and Kawhi are supposed to make toom for HIM??
It's insulting.
What matters more: Kawhi and PG's egos, or winning? Because their egos have us at .500 (soon to be lower) and probably not making the playoffs. What makes those two happy is making everyone else miserable, especially the fans.
We have a $190 million "star" who's worse than Kevin Huerter and is publicly asking everyone not to consider him a franchise player or scrutinize him like one, but still wants to dictate roster moves like one... but yeah, Mann's the problem for not being Donovan Mitchell as an underutilized second-round pick.

Still fully expect a loss tomorrow with how much of a disaster this team is right now, but there's that.

Yes, I'm explaining what appears to be their attitude, which is sorely lacking. Zero leadership and substandard [for $40M superstars] performance on the court. Publicly begging for a point guard while Mann was doing an adequate job as the placeholder and the team was winning. They're going to get another coach fired at this rate.

Is Mann adequate, or is he a G-League scrub who needs to be traded ASAP for not being Donovan Mitchell? I can't keep up.
Lue, like Doc, is a terrible coach who's done more than enough to get fired on his own.

Mann's ok. A tweener at 3 positions. Minus-20 last night. 8/0/3 in 22 minutes. Probably should have kept Kennard instead. PG and Kawhi have on the whole been a disappointment. Coach gets the blame. So it goes.

Thank God Ja is an idiot. I believe Brooks is too.
Edit: Brandon Clarke has an achilles tear as well.
It only took most of the season, but better late than never

Hey, at least we seem to have moved on from posting Mook's +/- numbers.
It's not worth getting worked up about it, just don't pay any attention to people obviously trying to stir the pot with almost every comment. The Clippers are frustrating enough on their own.

Speaking of numbers:
I look forward to reading more about how the almighty plus/minus still justifies Lue giving Morris superstar treatment in the rotations and keeping RoCo on the bench.

If you're going to douche @ me, at least read what I actually write. Morris plays the least 4th quarter minutes of any regular. Hardly superstar treatment--he's Batum's caddy. But Batum's 34 and is not up to a starter's workload.
Covington is minus-0.1 on the year playing with second units; Morris is minus-0.4 going against starters. Morris shoots slightly better and that's his job on the KL-PG unit. Batum is better than both.
The almighty plus/minus is better than amateur fan boi eye tests. They have their favorites and their scapegoats and there is no reasoning with them.

At this rate, we'll be playing the Memphis Hustle tomorrow rather than the Memphis Grizzlies... and still probably losing by double digits to them. Maybe PG will have one fewer demoralizing turnover than usual.

No Ja, Adams, Brooks or Clarke. So i expect us to put a good fight before they turn it on in the 4th quarter led by Kennard.

Double digits is exaggerating. I think we lose by 9.
