6’8 230 7-3 wing span, can guard 1-4 and hit the 3, he would be a great project in our system.

If it’s the latter, how does Butler feel about it? Is he being a B too about it? At the end of the day, he defended his boy, and his boy isn’t even on the court for who knows what reasons. Same thing last year… was out around this time of year, and then when he finally came back, was not in good enough game shape to make an impact in the playoffs.
Butler has to hold his boy accountable. We also need to stop pretending like Lowry isn’t here because of Butler, and is part of the reason we are having trouble getting Butler help. If Lowry had lived up to his contract, then that money wouldn’t be ill spent. We would also be way more attractive to other players, seeing us as contenders instead of pretenders.
Duncan is on Pat. Lowry is on Butler and Pat.

We need to make it normal to hold players accountable for their performance instead of assigning blame to why they are here. And I’ve been guilty of the latter in Lowry’s case. Did Jimmy push to get his boy here? I’m absolutely sure he did and you are right that he wouldn’t be here without Jimmy. But its ultimately on Lowry that he hasn’t lived up to expectations of this organization, nobody else. Did Riley sign off on Duncan? Did he have other influential benefactors inside stressing why he was vital to the team? Yep, we knew he was a one dimensional player - however his one dimension falling off a cliff is on him.

Lowry is for sure being a B, you don’t go from being upgraded to questionable to the point they think you might play in Philly to then randomly being out indefinitely. Spos comments seem to make it sound like it’s on Lowry too
