Wolves vs Kings 3-4-2023

Post#1 » by Nick K » Sun Mar 5, 2023 3:11 am

Another must win game. Sac is a full strength team so it won't be easy. Have we played a full strength team lately?

We need to play more under control and keep turnovers at a minimum.

Regardless, we'll see how we stack up.

Let's go!

Reid is so bad on D. It's either foul or no D. It's too bad that we need his scoring right now.

Ant finally got a call on driving to the basket. About time! He missed the FT. :banghead:

The defense has definitely taken a step up. Conley makes far fewer mistakes than Dlo and NAW is huge and tenacious. As long as Ant is locked in, we have no real holes right now, we make it very tough for opposing wings and guards. Just watch how difficult it is for some of these guys to get quality looks off in ISO situations.

Alexander-Walker another nice play on the defensive end. Kid has talent.

It amuses me how it takes about 270 degrees of a circle to fit all those letters on the back of Alexander-Walker’s uniform!

Free throws killing us lately.

Respect the refs. They don’t load manage.

When I go to games I go to see the refs, because I know they’ll find a way to make it their show.

It's amazing what a difference it makes to not have major defensive liabilities in the rotation. Replacing DLO, Nowell, and to a lesser degree Rivers with Conley and NAW has been a really good improvement. A 9-man rotation of Conley, Edwards, McDaniels, Anderson, Gobert, McLaughlin, NAW, Prince, and Naz doesn't have any major defensive holes. A little more offense when Ant is off the court is needed (which Towns would fix), but overall I like the rotation from the last few games.

Naz is a decent defender, he just doesn't have the weight to defend bully ball players like Sabonis. I think I read that Naz is down to 227 lbs, which just isn't big enough when the refs let Sabonis lower his should and get away with major contact to create space.

We win this one and we’re back to the #6 seed, since we have the tie-breaker over the Mavs!

Shut down the main guys and make the rest beat you.

If Dalante west Jr wants to score 30 but we keep Sabonis and Fox in check. We win.

Yeah, Naz looks undersized against starting centers. He needs a big rebounding forward next to him to be effective
