Idiotic call to cost the Clippers the game

Holding during Fox's shot(no call):

Push in the back with both hands preventing Sabonis from getting the rebound, which he would clearly have if not for the push (good call):

he had like 2-3 possession that could find Jokic in a good place to score and just ignored him

Murray wants to be Bubble Murray and be Jokic's co-star. But he's not. He's not on that level. He's more Pippen to Jokic's Jordan than Wade to LeBron.

The sooner he accepts that, the better.

But we haven't hit that moment yet.

This is why I don't see the Nuggets winning anything this year. They haven't figured this out yet.

The last time Murray was healthy for a playoffs was Bubble Murray. He's trying to get back to that, even though Jokic won 2 MVP's since and Murray is still making his way back from knee surgery.
He's not "Pippen" lmfao - he sucks
On both ends

If \ when \ maybe it takes him another year and he's back to being a fringe all star but even then i'd much rather have quite a few guys in his position

Jamal Murray since Christmas: 22.9 PPG, 6.6 assists, 2.2 turnovers, on 47%/43%/87% shooting splits.

He doesn't "suck", but he's probably the worst second best player out of all playoff teams right now.

I don’t see him as the second best player on a championship team.

This is such a weird idea I see a lot. We’ve seen Khris Middleton, Kyle Lowry and a 37-year-old Jason Kidd all be the second-best-players on championship teams. Hedo Türkoğlu, Larry Hughes, Jason Terry, Rik Smits, Theo Ratliff and Kenyon Martin have all been the second-best-players on conference champions.

Not all champions are built the same!

Jeff Green and Will Barton STARTED ALL 5 GAMES LAST PLAYOFFS! Austin Rivers and Bryn Forbes were our top reserves!

his offense has been decent since December, but his defense isn't there at all (not that he was some great defender to begin with)
that's why I laughed about the Pippen comparison

btw, 47% from the field is the league's average pretty much (need to check and too lazy but should be around there)
league average TS% is 58% this season, the lowest for any team is 55% (the Hornets) and the highest are the Kings and Nuggets with roughly 61%

Murray is posting 56.8% despite playing most of his mins benefiting from the two man game \ spacing with Jokic
that's below league average. perhaps it's a bit better if look post Xmax but I doubt he's even at league average then

so color me unimpressed by his "23 PPG" since Xmas etc

the assists are also misleading af as Murray doesn't do alot of actual playmaking
he's not attempting tough passes that lead to baskets (but also to turnovers), he's barely even driving and kicking in this Nuggets offense

most of it it just the ball moving around on offense to find the open man and ofc - playing the PNR with the Joker

heck, i'd probably get 6 assists a game if my job was getting the ball to Jokic in the lane, dude rarely misses

oh, and he misses alot of passes that is - just chucks when he doesn't have a clear pass back to Jokic in the PNR
so that "saves" him alot of to's, he only makes the easy passes too timid, innacurate and incosistent

if Jokic was playing with Harden then u would see the differnece :)
(in the PNR I mean, specifically)

he hasn't been good this season, u can spin the stats all u want
watch the games, i'm not sure he's a top 50 player in the league this season..and that might be generous tbh

They won by a million. Shocker
