Disappointing result for a winnable game, but I like how the team played, energy/effort wise. We need DLO back ASAP....too many dry spells offensively

Lose this key game. IF we have won, we are already in the play-in range.

Sorely need someone capable to run the offense

we should have played the twin tower this game. On the offensive end, Bamba could pull Gobert out from the praint or Bamba will hit some 3s. It will hugely ease AD from all those hardwork inside the paint and get his points. Speed is not a problem defensively with Gobert in the game.

Another issue was our perimeter defense. Wolves got too much wide open 3s.

All eyes should be on D’Lo now, he was able to jog and run for a couple of minutes after that tweak then boom he’s out for a week?
Main concern about him was he just doesn’t care as much like devoted players. Not working hard enough on defense, not playing games if he’s feeling any kind of pain etc. I wont consider signing this guy if he miss more games or he fails to step up big time with the remaining games.
Schroder just showed again that he’ll have a 26 pt night then follow it up with a stinker. Main issue is that he’s just not a reliable shooter.

Another Dlo-less game tomorrow.

News said that Lakers were very careful on injuries now. Ankle sprain is such a minor injury in the NBA. Back then Kobe played through it in the Finals versus the Pacers. Given the emergency of the Lakers, I don't see the decision sensible. IF Dlo is serious about getting on the court and win games, he should have force his way into the game. That doesn't seem to be the case.

Even if Dlo returns, we still need one more guy who can run the offense and hit the open guy. Dlo is not playing 48 mins per game.

Good win against the Warriors! I stick to my 15-8 prediction.

Did you see what AD can do late in games if he gets the ball, LeBron?

Solid win... Watching the NY/Celtics game made me realize our team continues to have crap spacing... Not sure why teams like that have so many driving lanes and we look like we're painting the floor from the 3pt line-in... I mean, I know why, I just can't believe it's still a problem...
But that said, it was nice to see AD get a chip on his shoulder about how Loony owned him last time, and come out playing smash-mouth...

The GSW win was solid.

We really need to get to .500 in our next 12 games to have a decent shot at the playoffs.

Can’t win a couple and then lose the next couple as a pattern.

This game showcased defensive discipline and focus. If that continues every night, it bodes well. If it doesn’t, let’s start thinking about next season.

Playing great defense always gives teams a chance to win especially if they minimize turnovers , dumb fouls and bad shot selection. I prefer guys like AD and Schroeder to stop taking 3’s.

Must win game tonight. We have a great opportunity to win the next five and stretch out a 6 game win streak. The schedule is starting to soften up. Need D’Lo back to take very soon to help with the scoring workload though.

Yeah, hoping the other team
Doesn’t go off just like what the Clippers, Blazers , & OKC had in their last games against the lakers..

Some teams just seem to have a different spring in their step when facing the lakers , no matter how crummy the team is….

Let’s see if this team without their star can beat up a quality opponent without their star. It’s going to be a tall order. I predict Ham will be out coached after halftime and we will blow a big lead and barely win it. Go Lakers. We’re 4-2 since ASB. Let’s make it 5-2!

Standings/ schedule update:

Lakers are half a game (a win) ahead of the Pels, Thunder, and Blazers, while a full game ahead of the Jazz (1 more win and 1 less loss).

Pelicans next 3 games:

vs Mavs
vs Thunder
vs Blazers

Blazers next 3 games

@Celtics
@76ers
@ Pelicans

Thunder next 3 games:

@PHX
@Pelicans
@Spurs

Jazz next 3 games:

@Magic
@Hornets
@Heat

Last but not least, Lakers next 3 games:

vs Raptors
Vs Knicks
@ Pelicans

Jazz have the easiest opponents, but all on the road. Blazers next 3 is brutal.

Going 2-1 in this span for the Lakers would be huge.

15 wins and 8 losses

They could be lucky and nab 6th spot.
Likely that they make play-in with a double chance

So far they are ahead of my prediction. I had them at 4-3 but they are at 5-2.

So on track for 16-7
