I still find it so comical that the sicko CP3 saw that Dallas only had 4 guys on the court and had the wherewithal to call it out to the refs before basically anyone else noticed. Like I probably knew it was a rule but I'm not thinking about that in that moment

I actually wish more players did it. Makes the game so much more exciting. Hate how a lot of players like each other. Booker can back it up now with KD.

I think trash talking is great when you do it before you win. Like Larry Bird used to tell them the play and where he is going to shoot it from and make it and then do it. Or that he's going to beat them only shooting left handed and do it.

But when it's over and you talk trash just in games you have in hand or win, it's cheap and childish. Luka said after game 5 "it's easy to talk trash after you win" and then came back to take the last two games.

And to do it now just because you have KD on your team so you can back up your own trash talking? You think that makes it better? I mean it's nice, but what if he gets injured again and Book has to back himself up?

Heck the guy won a game because Minnesota came onto the floor up 2 with the clock about to run out and pointed out someone didn't have his shirt tucked in, got a tech and won the game.

Got to love that ESPN media lol bending over backwards

The ESPN version of “micro aggression” the NBA is so lame man. No way Booker should have gotten a tech, luka talks to the ref EVEN WHEN HE GETS THE **** CALLS

Much prefer that then Booker tapping Luka’s ass after the game saying ‘good game’. Luka complains all game, somebody has to humble him sooner or later. It’s super annoying, especially for someone like Booker who doesn’t get the same calls that Luka gets.

Booker chirps all game, not just when the game is over. Luka just finally reacted because he’s losing.

I was gonna bitch about hardaway but it's more annoying for the Mavs that ish hit 4/5 3s lol.

Okogie playing like he wants to stay affordable today!

That Luka sequence at the end really really pisses me off. Such a clear foul and so clear that booker was primarily talking to the refs. He said a couple things but that's not a tech if Luka doesn't come at him. Which makes Luka the aggressor. He gets the tech.

As entertaining as they come. 3-0!

KD - already a Suns legend. Love him!

Booker - a Suns legend already. Loved seeing him defend Luka from the start and outplaying him. For the Mavs lurkers and a few Suns fans here, who thought Luka lived in Booker's head, I hope it's clear now for you Booker doesn't give a **** about Doncic!

Ayton - started as one should expect, with easy baskets in the paint. Then disappeared. Just at the end they forced few plays to him and he didn't do well, but anyway Mavs don't have answer for him if he gets the ball close to the basket, so need to take advantage rather then depend on Crowders/Okogies of the world making their 3s.

Okogie/Ish - Josh was terrible on offense, but nice D. Good job by Monty putting Ish in.

CP3 - don't write this man off just yet.

Luka - Ayton had one game shooting 10 FTs and some Ayton "critic" complained about refs bailing him out on those. You see now how it works for these superstars in the league ? They get this all the time. No idea how these 60/70+% FT shooters(Giannis the other one) make 90% vs Suns. On top of that the guy was called on 1 offensive foul out of 5. Suns won with all this home cooking.

On to the next one!

Hopefully he called him a whiney little prick. Luka literally gets every call his way. Must be frustrating for other players. Should have been an offensive foul.

So you expect a grown a** man have another man get in his face and just bend backwards or what? There was no trash talk before Luka getting pissy, and it's so frickin tiring watching him btch and moan for 3 hours about every call. And I was a Luka fanboy, being a real Madrid fan and all, imagine that.

The Mavs got a great whistle today.Don't think I've ever seen a game where a team got away with so many offensive foul. The entire 3rd qtr was just Luka baiting the refs into foul calls. It was a tough watch.I think the refs are intimidated by Luka & Jason Kidd.Without KD, the Suns probably lose this game by 10+ points. The amount of wide open shots he generates for teammates is absurd. That and his ability to hit timely shots under pressure.Last year Suns would have froze up & got blown out.Especially with Kyrie + the bad officiating.I'm certain this would've been a ugly loss without KD

Still hasn't set in we got KD. Its just bizarre seeing the ball go to this 7'0" player and he pulls a few dribble moves and pulls up for a shot and the defense is trying their best but they can't bother his shot. Like wow, I've never seen that type of player on the Suns before. It's not normal for us.

There's a saying in the tennis world (my sport in high school haha) that goes like "the game is on [x player's] racquet" and what that means is something to the effect of that if you are more talented, better, etc., it's not about what the opponent does, but what you are doing that determines the match.

I feel like KD is the closest thing in basketball on offense to that. When he has the ball in his hands and wants to score, it's just about whether or not he released the ball correctly - he's going to get to his spots and his release is so high that it's not as much about what the defense is doing as it is what KD is doing.

Every basketball fan regardless of whether it’s a Suns, Mavs or any other team’s NBA fan wants a Mavs/Suns playoffs rematch for sure.

I like Luka/Booker going at each other. We need more of that in the NBA which has turned into such a soft league.

This game definitely accentuated the point that Monty CANNOT WAIT to get Landry back. And honestly, I thin we may eventually really need him. Ross and Warren can't play the defense Monty wants, and we really need another option out there when Okogie isn't hitting. Wainright is awesome, but we still need one more bench option.

I'm very glad we won, but I still think there is a TON for them to figure out. There should never be a stretch of the game when Durant doesnt touch the ball for 4 or 5 possessions in a row, and that happened a bit today. We also need to figure out how to have better actions with Booker and KD together. Plenty of times it was Booker or KD dribbling and then passing off the double team to Ish or CP3. We need to work out a way to have Booker or KD start the possession and one of them finish it. Even with Okogie on the floor with the starters, there's got to be a way to ensure KD or Booker are taking the shot, even if Okogie is open. You can only double one guy at a time, so maybe there are some plays they can come up with.

I think it was the Kyrie trade to the Mavs that pushed Ishbia to trade for KD, without Kyrie we had a good chance to beat them with Cam and Mikail.

As great as KD and Book played our bench besides Cam and Ish were just horrible and the bench is still a pretty legit cause for concern because it looks like we have to ride KD and Book and give them heavy minutes because our bench is really bad.

Return to Phoenix Suns
