Yes and no, Duncan is also on Duncan, you usually don't just lose your 3pt shot unless you're not spending as much time on it as you had been and he's talked about and his game has shown he's tried to open up his game to more than 3pt shooting so now he's a degraded 3pt shooter while still being horrible at everything else.
This is a repeat since it seems this person hasn't seen it about the Lowry situation.
Spoiler:
Lowry.. Lowry is the boobie prize of the failed 2021 plan that watched the FO refuse to add salary past the summer of 2021 to get Giannis(the FO didn't think he'd take the super max?) so they could add another big free agent, the trade with Memphis, they were actually after Gallinari but he wanted an extension that went past 2021 so Miami changed course and added Crowder to the trade which worked out but he was not their 1st choice. Miami makes the finals and because Crowder wanted a 3 year deal the Heat let him walk, tried to replace him with the good Morris twin with an inflated 1-year deal (that they offered to Crowder also) but LA gave him more years for around that money. So... at this point you'd have to expect the FO is talking to Butler about letting Crowder go and why. Nothing gets done, the FO target (Giannis) announces he's taking the supermax and their target for 2021 is gone, Bam is extended a year early since they no longer need that low cap hold for the next summer and now the FO's plan has backfired greatly, and I'd expect Butler knows that. They tried to add Lowry at the deadline to try to fix the situation, it didn't happen, Butler played uninspired/terrible, and Miami got knocked out quickly in the 1st round and then... Lowry got signed for way more money than he was worth because of a bidding war with NO to possibly mend fences with their top player. I still can't believe the FO handcuffed themselves after making the finals instead of keeping the core players and adding to try to win a championship, that's insane to me but they did. The FO did basically the same damn thing this offseason putting EVERYTHING on hold for the tiny chance they'd get KD on a huge discount (which wasn't going to happen) yet that's what they did.
Outside of Butler, Bam and near minimum contracts, over the last 5-6 years the FO has been handing out a lot of bad contracts for whatever reason. The reason could be just bad evaluations (which I think it is) but it could also be a disconnect between the FO decision makers and Spoelstra, it seems very odd to sign Robinson to big money only to move away from his one great skill of hitting 3s off of DHOs.
Very good points, but then Butler gets in front of media, before the trade deadline, and advocates for us to give Lowry his fair shake… FO screwed themselves greatly, but some of these players are also not doing anything to help themselves.
Duncan and Lowry need to find ways to get back to what earned them those contracts, and Butler needs to learn to zip those lips from time to time… or at least help back it up by getting his boy back in track… and hopefully Pat wasn’t really asleep at the trade deadline where we had a Lowry trade fall through the cracks! Lol

You don't earn your current contract; you earn your next contract.
Lowry played well last year and in an 8 game stretch this year, the thing that those 2 sets of games have in common is that Herro wasn't starting those games and Lowry had a more catch and shoot player next to him instead of having to defer to Herro and go play as an undersized SG that wants to pass. To be quite honest, he personally should be pissed to be courted by Miami and NO, then sign with Miami for big money only, have a solid 1st season then to have his role minimized the 2nd year... especially when he has to know that he's going to be moved at the end of his contract (this summer or at the deadline next season) being an asset as an expiring contract.
Robinson, is an issue but he has a pretty long record (before the Heat) of being a good 3pt shooter so unless he has a physical issue, he should be able to get back to his old self by figuring out what he's changed.
I still can believe Robinson got paid what he did with Strus on the roster and guys like M.Monk out there for 5 mil a year.. and they pay Robinson 90 mil over 5 years, that's just overvaluing your players which seems to happen a lot in Miami the past half decade.

If it’s the latter, how does Butler feel about it? Is he being a B too about it? At the end of the day, he defended his boy, and his boy isn’t even on the court for who knows what reasons. Same thing last year… was out around this time of year, and then when he finally came back, was not in good enough game shape to make an impact in the playoffs.
Butler has to hold his boy accountable. We also need to stop pretending like Lowry isn’t here because of Butler, and is part of the reason we are having trouble getting Butler help. If Lowry had lived up to his contract, then that money wouldn’t be ill spent. We would also be way more attractive to other players, seeing us as contenders instead of pretenders.
Duncan is on Pat. Lowry is on Butler and Pat.
Lowry is for sure being a B, you don’t go from being upgraded to questionable to the point they think you might play in Philly to then randomly being out indefinitely. Spos comments seem to make it sound like it’s on Lowry too
Shoot, at this point, he is giving us the same trouble Kyrie gave the nets. What was the point on passing on Kyrie all those times, if we ended up with our own diva?
Exactly and Kyrie would’ve been an amazing fit that more than likely fixes our offensive struggles or at least a good portion of them

If he bothers to play. Maybe he'll take time off to find himself, or maybe he'll claim the moon is made of green cheese, choose to rail against a scientific theory that keeps him from playing for months because he wants to make a point, or maybe he'll alienate a huge part of South Florida's population by posting links to offensive awful videos that he refuses to apologize for. Who knows? Maybe his antics will force Bam to ask out as they did with Harden.

But sure, let's go for him...
Lowrys been amazing
Lowry's crap, but we're not going to have to deal with him asking for 5 years and $272 million while bringing us tons of negative attention, refusing to play for chunks of the season, alienating our very large Jewish population, and acting like a general asshat. Just because one guy acts badly doesn't mean we'd have been better off going worst case scenario. He's destroyed every team he's been on...
10 man rotation with good bench depth.. spo would never tho..
Yurt Bam Caleb or Duncan Herro Jimmy
...could be intriguing.
Jimmy doesn't have the health to be full time in the ball or chasing around point guards. Unless you have Herro on the ball full time at the 1, which brings problems of its own.
Anyone not on board with this must love sticking to the status of sucking with small ball. It’s a hail mary but one worth taking with really nothing to lose at this point. Especially if the original intention was to start him. Stretches out our lineup and puts everyone in there proper place. No use bringing Yurt back only to have him as a third string Center.

Who falls out of the rotation between Gabe and Strus and why didn’t we trade whichever one of the deadline for some 2nds worst case and a little more money savings lol?
