Gordon, PJ, Rozier and Oubre have reached the 30 minute mark.

Mark has the fewest minutes of them.
Only down 20 now. I bet you feel silly. This comeback run is going to propel them to the playoffs.
Should've thought about that before we traded our best player, Mason Plumlee. He had 20 rebounds a couple games ago.
They didn't need Plumlord anymore because Tsunami Papi is back.

Lords > Papi's.

Mark has played the best yet gotten the fewest minutes of the starters. By 8.

We're the only bottom 4 team in the league that plays veterans more than young players.
Got blown out by 20 and Kai, Thor, Nick and Bryce combined to play as many minutes as Rozier. Who had more shots than points.

I was really looking forward to seeing all the young projects get some serious burn at the end of this season. LOL.

Mark was basically the only player on the team with a positive +/- and had 10/14, but played 11 fewer minutes than any other starter.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
EDIT: 1 less minute. Rozier ended with 37 minutes. Bryce, Kai, Thor and Nick combined with 36.
Gordon and Oubre played 35.
PJ played 36 too, although he is technically a young player.

I don't ever want to hear anyone say Cliff doesn't favor vets to the detriment of player development ever again. It's true even when the young guys are positive contributors, as Mark's treatment illustrates perfectly.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
It's not even about the young players either.
We're stuck in 4th. No way can we reasonably out tank the current bottom 3. And no way we can make the playin either.
There is nothing to play for in either direction.
These next 16 games or how ever many are left should be about protecting the health of our injury prone vets and evaluating the young players (including G-League guys) to see if they're any good or not.

Gotta make those youngins earn their minutes. After giving them a good few hazings of course.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
That sounds like it's about the young players to me, but I don't disagree we should also be protecting certain vets (like Gordo) from injury as well.
I just see this is an extension of Cliff's usual operating procedure. It's a shame we won't even try to evaluate what we have.

Fine! I'll play him!

And this is why we're rudderless.

Can't play just young guys because we don't want to risk them getting used to losing.
Much better for their development to glue them on bench while getting blown out every night. That makes way more sense

Yeah we should totally sign Giannis and Morant, then trade them for a bunch of good players and picks. Easy game.
Idk why Mitch can't see that is how you build

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
In this league you've got to earn the right to go out there and shoot 5/15 (Oubre) or 5/17 (Rozier). Not just anyone could do that, it takes commitment, it takes experience.
You can't have these young guys like Mark Williams feeling entitled to playing time just because they're consistently producing and had the only positive +/- of any starter.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
Loving the full negativity no matter the outcome around here haha...
We win games, "man this team can't get out of their own way! We need to lose!"
Team loses "man this team is pathetic, we suck!"
Clifford just force fed minutes to Thor for 4 games he did nothing with it.
McGowens got 20 mins tonight, I am not going to complain about that.
