Doesn’t matter how much we win or which seed we end up at, game board will never give the Knicks props

Brunson has been excellent and should have been an all-star, but in no way is he an all-NBA player at this point for taking a team that was projected to be a play-in team into position to potentially be a #4 seed (likely a #5-6).

What the Knicks have is a young-ish core of guys that fit and play hard. No one is on a horrible contract and they have surplus draft capital going forward. However, their Big 3 is really 3 guys who could be a #3, so their is a real ceiling here. But the team is fun and the culture is changing. Combine that with roster flexibility, surplus draft capital, and New York City and the Knicks future is looking nice for the first time in the long time. Heck, 5 players in the 9 man rotation are home grown - Barrett, Robinson, Grimes, Quickley, Toppin.

And boy oh boy, if they can get into the 4-5 round and win a series, would be so great for the series and franchise.
I don't buy that Brunson and Randle are number 3 guys. They are both solid #2 guys on a play off team.

I agree. Can't convince me that championship year Middleton/Holiday (#2 and #3) are better than Randle/Brunson this season. So yes, I think both are solid #2 guys on a championship team. We really are just a superstar away. Or maybe 3 #2s can get us over the hump with a solid squad like we have now.

Somebody has to step up on the team or we trade for one.

Middleton/Holiday are both #3 guys. Milwaukee won with a #1 and 2 #3's. If the Knicks had Giannis, they would be fine with Brunson/Randle as the #2 and #3 on the team.

Another win tonight. Double overtime. Without Brunson and over Boston. That's impressive.

The Knicks have such a solid roster. Strong backups at point guard and center. 3 solid wings who can all defend.

it's a well balanced roster.

the only square peg is sadly obi, they need a high 3pt shooter taking shots and unless he improves(which he has this year to his credit), there's not much of a role for him.

Both teams playing a 6-man rotation in a double OT regular season game. Effectively a playoff game

That was an incredible game by IQ and honestly Barrett is a great defender. No one wants to play them they’re peaking at the right time. You should do a segment on your podcast this week about them

IQ has impressed me a lot and Hart fits in seamlessly. Knicks definitely a problem.

I have doubts Knicks can make a Cinderella run here for a championship. But can you imagine the Knicks winning a championship  it’s weird enough the Knicks are this good, like it’s so weird for me as a Knicks fan.

The league is fairly balanced. Actually very balanced. 4v5 gonna be insane against Cleveland.

Deep run or not, the Knicks have a special core.

Ever heard of baby steps?

You don't just win a championship when most people didn't even expect them to even be in this position in the first place - let alone, win twice against the defending EC champions during this winning streak.

I'm saying Dallas was better last year which is gonna convey a better pick to nyk as well from the draft. And do you know why this happened?

Yes, I know what your implying. I actually do think the Knicks are better than the Mavs. It was a rhetorical question
