The fact that we're not watching garbage time of a 30+ point win right now is already a far more embarrassing chokejob than anything this Memphis lineup can do.

You can not leave Kennard open. Nice effort PG on the rebound. We might just pull this out

Its really strange to see right? PG, Russ, Kawhi all attacking to rim instead of jump shooting. We are not used to this.

This is the PG we need. Great job tonight PG and Kawhi. And we made our free throws.

If you take the +/- as Gospel, our starting lineup should leave out Kawhi and PG :) :)

I feel you there. Winning this way staves off embarrassment in the short term, but it might even be worse than losing in the long run. Now we're guaranteed to be stuck watching the status quo with Lue and Morris for even longer, even though we know it doesn't work against actual NBA lineups.

Luke: 5-5 from three. Like I said after we traded him, just watch how a real coach unlocks him.

Great effort from PG, and Kawhi stepped up late. Game didn’t go as planned with the huge deficit, but a loss here would have been demoralizing.

I think the FO has to put their foot down on limiting Morris as much as possible going forward.

like, 95% probability that this happens, so i just wanna get it ready so i can quote myself being snippy and right like usual

Yep, the rebounding machine ain't going nowhere but in the starting lineup, and finishing close games.

Ultimatums Work

Post#98 » by Wammy Giveaway » Mon Mar 6, 2023 5:56 am

In a game where there was risk of missing playoffs, a coaching change and a forced rebuild at conclusion of season, Clippers win it. The ultimatum worked.

But this should have been a gimme. They should have blown them out with a 20-point game or greater, and instead they let the Grizzlies stay in the game. They got a win against an elite team (teams seeded 1st to 3rd), but it was a trap game, not indicative of a true performance. This is why I felt tonight's win was going to be hollow.

Let's wait until Clippers face a fully healthy available and tough team before we can assess their status.

Actually, if you've been following the Clippers statistically, you notice that Marcus' 4th quarter minutes are pretty much the lowest on the team.

We all prefer Batum but he had a HORRIBLE game tonight. 17 minutes 0-4, zero points, minus-3.

Marcus finished plus+12. Ty had no choice but to stick him back in after yanking him in the first half. Somehow. But the scoreboard doesn't lie. And Mann's 18 minutes, 7/2/2 plus+3 was helpful too. Rotation player. 18 minutes was about right. More if his shooting is hot.

And for the nth time, Marcus has been my Least Favorite Clipper for years. It's just that Ty's back is against the wall. I wish we had 3 Jaren Jackson-type leapers in G-League to menace the NBA with. And so does he.
