we have no plan b, ever
franchise acting like its nov and every game counts
why are theo and bouk still in gboro, esp theo? i've **** on bouk more than anyone and even i would be giving him some burn these final games
why is terry still our starting pg? he renders mark useless. how is that helping mark's dev?
down 40 in 3rd q and cliff playing vets 35+? for what? rewarding them for not playing hard in 1st half?
cliff constantly been bitching about ball movement w/melo yet changes absolutely nothing
cliff has made exactly 0... **** ZERO lineup changes that weren't dictated by injury or trade.
what are we doing?season is over, melo aint coming back. we arent moving up or down. its just about dev players now. getting them some burn. the vets shouldnt be playing more than 30 mins the rest of the season.

Theo is on a two way contract, I would say right now there is about a 10% chance he is back next season when you consider we have 5 picks in this upcoming draft. These percentages aren't really screaming we need to keep him.
FG%
41.4
FG3%
33.3
FT%
87.5
eFG%

Meanwhile Kelly Oubre is getting 35 minutes a night to take 20 shots a night on worse percentages

Yeah we should totally sign Giannis and Morant, then trade them for a bunch of good players and picks. Easy game.
Idk why Mitch can't see that is how you build
Yeah you missed the point… I said excluding the picks and Bridges (which were the only great things coming back for the three stars) and even including Simmons dead contract they still have a better team than us
Mitch just totally whiffed on building the team after getting LaMelo and seeing LaMelo’s greatness….some of it wasn’t his fault (Miles) but the rest of the roster doesn’t fit LaMelo at all besides Williams, and Williams wasn’t even played until 50 games into this season. And the Clifford hire looks incredibly stupid now, the players have given up on him already
As far as the negativity - dude I don’t mind being bad if we are developing young players like the Spurs and Pistons are doing. We are a league laughingstock if we are bad and trying to win by playing Rozier and Oubre, players who should have been traded or bought out at first opportunity. Why is Oubre still here?

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
We're used to being bad. But this seasons being bad is worse than normal bad.
Everyone being hurt.
Melo being hurt to the point of breaking his ankle.
Mark being glued to the bench most of the season.
Steve Clifford being the coach...again. Worst coach in the league.
Miles Situation.
Atkinson screwing us over.
Mediocre trade deadline. Especially if we resign certain players that should've been traded.
Trading the 13th pick for the soon to be 30th pick.
It goes on and on.
The positives are:
Mark seems to be a future All-Star
Nick broke out. Might have our long term C duo.
Top 5 pick (hopefully top 2)

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
I don't think Theo will be on the team next season. So I'm not that irritated he isn't being played, Myk seems to have taken his spot and is probably slightly better.
But there is 0 reason Kai should've played 1 minute. Thor to have played 6 minutes.
Kai and Thor need as many minutes as they can get. Nick is hopefully our long term backup C.
PJ doesn't need to play 36 minutes. He doesn't have anything else to prove, cut his minutes and let Kai and Thor get some. Nick plays all the minutes at C that Mark doesn't.
Cut Oubre, Rozier and Gordon's minutes. Let Bouk, Bryce and Theo play. Even Myk to see if he's a good enough to keep.

Does PJ have nothing left to prove? lol
I feel like PJ is a NBA afterthought...does he do anything at all to help the team win?
Shoot 3's slightly above league average? Uhh okay
I feel like you can replace him with a league minimum player and it has no effect whatsoever on the team

Lol who then on the Nets? You are claiming they are such a good team.
4 of the 5 starters tonight were brought in via trading Kyrie or Durant. Dinwiddie, DFS, Cam and Bridges.
So yeah good job drafting Claxton.
Curry was brought in from trading Harden lol.
They traded a first for Oneale, which is probably something they wouldn't do again today.

Thor has played 138 mins over the last 9 games. He is 6/23 shooting and has scored 14 points over that time frame.
If you want to be mad about Kai, then sure. He should get more mins over the end of the year.
Really don't see the point in getting too worried about Theo. If the staff liked him enough to keep him around, he probably would keep up with the team instead of Svi.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
Theo seemed calm with the ball and looked to create, that's why I wanted more of him, but mainly I hate Rozier at point guard.
I like him as a shooter alongside a tall point guard, but he's a score first guy, not someone who should running the offense.
Rozier and Oubre have had some manic chucking games, i'm guessing they've figured out no other ways to score as a team. Its ugly and doesn't really seem to be helping anyone.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
Having Theo play is less about trying to develop him, or see if he should be kept next year, and more about having another ball handler and passer to try to get the team open looks (rather than more terry at pg). It's hard to evaluate some of the other young guys when we don't have a functional point guard on the court.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Nets 3/5 6PM EST
We also have 16 games or nearly 20% of the schedule left.
I am all for handing out a few gift starts to Bouk, Bryce or Kai in a few games to end the year, but I really don't think tossing them into high usage roles and giving them 30 mpg for the final 15 games in the answer either.
Everyone was complaining Mark wasn't going to get enough mins, he will end up starting 25 games which will be the 7th or 8th most among rookies.
Realistic goals for the final 10 games or so. (assume we see similar rotations for at least another 5 games)
Bryce 20 mpg maybe a few starts
Bouk 15mpg maybe a few starts.
Kai 20 mpg maybe a few starts.
Thor- whatever at this point.
Theo- whatever at this point.

We have nothing to play for and have the fourth worst record. Of course our first round rookie should be in the top few starts for rookies. Are we giving ourselves a pat on the back Williams has had more starts than rookies on playoff/contending teams?
