err, if you worry abt Pop coaching, more likely they would not be bad enough to draft Robinson in 1997...

Do they switch injury histories?

It would have been nice to see the Fundamental up against the Dream Shake...I'm resisting the temptation to say why I feel so

Spurs won the lottery with the 3rd most balls. Without and injured robinson they finish well outside the lottery. 76ers takeover the spurs set of lottery balls as they are now the 3rd worst record. They win the lottery and draft Robinson. Iverson and Robinson, with Larry Brown as head coach win multiple rings.

I think peak Pre Injury Robinson was better than peak Duncan.

I can't imagine peak Robinson playing PF and being covered by the undersized PF's SAS faced a lot. If Duncan entered first he would definitely be playing center and Robinson's game was much more PF like.

I felt like peak David Robinson although he never won a championship without Duncan was more dominant than Duncan.
Spurs won some championships in years when there was no great team in their way. The best per Duncan Spurs might have been able to win a championship had their not been great teams in their way.
I care about peaks not longevity. I have a bias in favor of shot blocking.
Robinson’s peak was statistically a little better than Duncans.
I am not penalizing Robinson for not being as good of a team leader than Duncan even though I suspect Robinson was not as good of a leader as Duncan. Leadership is too subjective for me. Leading Dennis Rodman might not be easy.
My eye test preferred Robinson and if my eye test is too subjective peak Robinson didd have slightly better stats than Duncan.

Maybe he was “more dominant” in the regular season. Where did that go in the postseason? In seven (including 2000) postseasons as a leader, he never beat a 3 SRS team. Upset multiple times. That “dominance” never translated.

I think Robinson was more dominant in the RS. Truly one of the best RS Players of all time to be honest. However, he dropped off in the playoffs. To be fair I don't put all the blame on him for playoff woes. He had virtually no help so teams could put multiple defenders on him.
Duncan was certainly a more dominant playoff performer which should be weighed more than RS.
