Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
I don't think we've seen much of MLF's offense until/if Love is the QB.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
If MLF and Gute could create their perfect TE in a lab, he'd look like Darnell Washington. It makes too much sense so of course I'll be devastated when we trade back to pick Mayer in the 20's instead...

Take him at #15, then take his buddy Bowers next year.

Washington at #15 and then see if you can get Zack Kuntz in the 2nd-3rd round. Give Love all the freaks to work with.

Anyone else feeling this is a pretty weird draft (maybe not as talented in the first round outside of the top 3-5).

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
If there is anyway to get Darnell Washington and Nolan Smith with our first two picks it would be perfect.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
I hope the top of the draft goes QB-heavy and we get some good players falling. Any of these guys at #15 would be cool.
Devon Witherspoon
Paris Johnson Jr.
Christian Gonzalez
Jaxson Smith-Njigba

I'm expecting more mock drafts from everyone post Rodgers

Moved Rodgers to the Jets for their 1st and 2nd. Then traded down to 19 for some extra picks and shedding Savage contract.
15 Jaxon Smith Njigba - perfect add for our offense and there will be so much space for him with Watson and Doubs working the outside.
19 Dalton Kincaid - going high ceiling at the TE
43 Adebwore (edge Northwestern) big athletic edge
45 Tui Tuiplotu DE USC
57 Jordan Battle S Alabama
78 Zach Kuntz TE OD, another big swing at a high ceiling TE
82 Jimmie Robsinson S FSU, not sure if this is the best guy at that spot but I like the idea of double or triple dipping at the S position
89 A.T. Perry Wake, big WR that seems to fit the profile Gute likes
116 Ivan Pace LB Cinci
151 Jakorian Bennett CB Maryland, I feel like I read he has a great 40 time, I might be wrong
171 Aiden O'Callen QB Purdue, because why not
234 Hunter Luepke FB NDSU, seems like getting a FB on the roster and hopefully he can play ST
256 Noah Gindroff TE NDSU, a big TE from a running team, so guessing he is your designated blocker
259 Mohammad Ibrahim RB Minni, I think he is old but seems fine as a depth guy

Apparently shortly before he ran a 4.67 he was telling people he expected to run in the 4.3s...this guy might just not be grounded in reality or maybe even worse, he just thought he could roll out of bed and have a good combine. Red flags heating up with this guy, something isn't right.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
Perfect trade for both sides..
ARod
for
2023 1(13) and 4th
2024 3rd that becomes a 2nd if Jets make the playoffs and 1st if the make the AFC championship.
2025 3rd that becomes a 2nd if the Jets make a Super Bowl in 23 or 24, and a 1st if they win one in 23 or 24.
By doing this the Jets will inherit the entire Packer fan base for 2 years….
Maybe they can throw in Corey Davis,, he’ll probably get cut and can fill Lazards role.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
Good article on why we shouldn't waste a 1st round pick on a TE.
https://zonecoverage.com/2023/packers/the-packers-should-not-take-a-tight-end-in-the-first-round/
Comparisons in this thread between Darnell Washington and Gronk crack me up. Washington has caught 45 passes in 3 years with a whopping 3 TDs. Gronk caught 16 TDs in 2 years and was still only a 2nd round pick.
You don't waste a 1st round pick on a TE because of potential.

You do realize that Gronk only fell to the 2nd round because of medical red flags, right?
Also, Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates say hi.

Neither Jimmy Graham or Antonio Gates were 1st round picks. The history of 1st round Tight Ends is pretty bad

Yea - return on investment for First Round TE's is bad. Not worth the risk. I'm also not in on Darnell Washington.
