I think he was on everyone's draft radar prior to the heart issue. I just cannot see any NBA team signing a guy who collapsed on a court the way he did. I don't know if you remember Reggie Lewis, but I don't think any team would want a situation where a player potentially dies in a game. More recently, Isaiah Austin from Baylor had a shot at the the NBA but teams were scared off by his Marfan Syndrome. He still plays basketball but in lower leagues around the world.

He's definitely worth a late round flier, or a UDFA offer. I agree, he has legit NBA role player tools.

I want Cason Wallace as well, perfect PG for this team, can live off the ball and make 3s from the corner.

with our 2nd round pick I want Grant Sherfield or Nikola Djurisic

While Sherfield is small, hes just got the drive to make it as a backup pg off the bench. Plays with heart, kinda like Lowry from what I see and great ability to change direction.

Nikola Djurisic is my sleeper guy that will take a couple of years to develop but will eventaully be good off the bench guy or solid starter. His competition is underwhelming atm so hard to judge how he will do in the NBA but the ability and court vision is there.

It's apparent that one of Wallace or Hendrix will be our selection barring anyone slipping down the draft.

Cissoko also fits our drafting archetype profile

I don't think heart inflammation is a long term issue for most individuals especially when they said his could have been related to covid-19. I think it's an acute thing. If that's the case then he should be fully medically cleared and seems to be doing fine. He has a lot of basketball talent the only concern with him being that he looks more like 6ft4.5 than 6ft6. Visually he almost looks like a younger PJ Tucker even though their games are very different.

He will drop to the second round as he should. Bosh tried to come back from a serious injury and he had no takers. He's a HOFer. Heart inflammation is not like a cold, you can die from that and it is can inflame at any time. He should make the NBA but not as a first rounder when there are less risky options. He's not that good. Jared Butler had heart complications and went 40 to Utah. That sounds about right.

I agree with some stuff but not him definitely being a 2nd rounder, it will depend on medical evaluations and whether or not he has an acute or chronic form of myocarditis.

And also him not being that good... he's been outstanding this year. He does a hell of a lot more on the court than most guys people think are 1st round picks.

You wanna talk about definite 2nd rounders we can talk about GG Jackson dude is a massive scrub

I am curious if we are picking in that 15-20 range and he falls to us, does Toronto draft GG Jackson?

I mean 6'9 wings like him are rare. I don't see many guys his size doing a snatchback of this level. He looks KD like being so long and having that type of handle.

Read on Twitter

Can't forget the kid is only 18 and one of the youngest in this class. Toronto can be patient developing guys, so as long as we aren't expecting immediate returns, he could be the highest upside player in that range.

I know that almost 2/3 of GG Jackson's made buckets have come unassisted which shows how dynamic he is. Could he be the next Siakam?

All I can say about Keyontae Johnson is that the college game looks way too small for the guy, he looks completely unfazed on the court at all times and in control of himself and the pace of the game.

I just posted about him. GG could end up a second rounder just like what happened to BJ Boston who had a disappointing freshman year.

I will say that GG shows some big time flashes and has good size for a NBA wing. I'd prefer a guy like him to stay another year, but this class is flush with one and dones, and I expect him to be one of them because some playoff team in the 20-30 range will take him just based on what he could be.

If I were GG I would wait a year and reclassify for next draft when it will be weaker. He could be a top five pick in that class.

Overall he reminds me a bit of is Jaden McDaniels. I hated McDaniels game in college, but he had some good flashes of defensive potential. He was originally looked at as some incredible creating wing/forward type and he evolved into being a shutdown defender.

It will be interesting to see how GG develops because he could be a special defender and have some very good creation skills on offense.

That is not a normal 19 year-old kid. He is like the Scottie Barnes of guards with how developed the dude is.

Agreed. He stands out quite a bit.

Didn't know he had a heart issue...I was wondering why he was mocked so low
