Looks like a minor ankle sprain if he happens to miss Saturday’s contest vs Kings he should then be available again the Warriors on Monday.

I know and I really want to beat Kings twice in order to catch them in standings so if KD doesn’t play they could be 4 games ahead of us in loss column with just 15 games remaining. At the same time Grizzlies are struggling so we may actually catch them rather then the Kings.
Man last year I was obsessed with seeding and thought we got everything we wanted. Getting the Zion-less inexperienced Pelicans round one and then a Mavs team that looked like the most favorable matchup of round 2. And both series were a massive grind.
This time I say screw the seed, let's just play who we get. We're the superteam. Everyone else can be the ones to try to avoid us.

Nicely said, I just wanted to avoid the Nuggets in the 2nd round so KD/Ross could gel with their new teammates an extra few weeks before possibly facing them in WCF. Obviously, we are good enough to beat anyone in the west but Nuggets scare me this season.

I’d hate to nitpick but 0-5 from threes. Yes, 7 assists is excellent from Payne, but his shooting % is heavilY down from two years ago. Went from 48% fg to just 41% and 44% 3’s to 37% those are significant decline in just a few years. Are his recent injuries a sign of his poor play, or is there another reason he’s struggling not only this season but last too. ( last season contract year, but how about this?)

Yeah his numbers are down significantly. I know Tom Bombadil is only on a two-way contract so he isn't useable in the playoffs but I don't feel like the Suns need another guard behind Gimley despite his injuries this year. If you remember the last couple of years the Suns have had had many third string guards like Pippin who is currently with the Hawks, and even that sharpshooter two seasons ago in Legolas who is out of the league now but played for the Knicks, Pistons, amongst other teams. I think our GM Elrond is doing a better job of putting the correct pieces around our core guys, getting versatile wing players. I know Gandalf is getting old as he's 38 and is injury prone too but Frodo is capable of leading the way, especially with the newest sidekick Samwise! I know everyone talks about our center's heart isn't in the right place but I think Smeagle does good for the most part even though we know he is capable of so much more.
So yes I think the Suns have what it takes to go all the way and get the ring!

There is still a two-way spot roster open, isn’t there? While the main focus is presumably on getting the lineup to mesh, it would seem worth bringing in another prospect who might be able to earn the full roster spot for the offseason. (Luka Samanic? Sharife Cooper? Jontay Porter?)
