Good for him.
Been called for plenty of BS techs in my day and it's very frustrating especially when you're a competitive person.
That said, I disagree and think the refs do need the power of the tech, even if refs misuse it at times. It would be a worse situation imo if they didn't have that power at all.

That was an awesome interview. Haven't been a fan of Fred at all this year, but he's bang on. I can't believe non of the Raptors went off after the Denver debacle a few nights ago.

If I was the Raptors owner I'm offering to pay FVV's fine for this under the table.

I actually like this. Instead of calling out the refs as a whole, call out a certain one to put the heat on. Definitely makes the complaint more real to me

He should have called out Marc Davis, Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, Natalie Sago and Cheryl Flores as well.

I think officiating criticism is getting out of hand, players allow themselves to behave in ways that undermine officials authority, Luka and Draymond have assigned themselves as evaluators of officiating and complain about every call, and it's seeping into the rest of the league, Kidd and Kerr aren't able to contain their players, Silver should put his foot down and make an example of repeat offenders.
Human error will always take part, the game is hard to officiate when we keep getting mismatches, 6' Lillard bumping into bigs, 6'8" thick Luka posting up small guards, even on replays it's not clear who committed the foul.
We have mega stars like KD who made a HoF career, faced a lot of physicality, without constant run ins with officials, there are other ways to go about your gripes with how you're officiated, maybe the league should set up a backdoor channel for coaching staffs to voice their criticism, but not in game and in post game conferences.

Didn't the NBA literally change a rule because of KD baiting calls with the rip through? Lmao

Everyone uses the rip through, CP3 IMO is the most abuser of it, Harden and Steph jump into defenders, but that's not the point, taking advantage of the rules is what a player should do, berating refs isn't.

I agree it is annoying for the most part, but I mean Fred has 8 techs this year and 5(!!) Are from Ben Taylor. Eventually you have to call this **** out if your him. Idk if you watched the last 2 minutes of the Raptors Nuggets game from a few nights ago but it was also ridiculous, somebody on the Raptors needed to address this ****.

That was awesome. Some ref is giving him most of his techs it is personal. That was well done.

Make that money back in endorsements and in broadcasting post career. Well spoken. He’s ready for Inside the NBA at some level

Lol good. I want to see more of this and a REAL uprising from the player movement.

Refs are corrupt as hell, and with gambling now being more common than ever, there is definitely bull crap going on behind the scenes. I want to see more players call refs out, especially by name. Refs need to finally be held accountable. They have way too much power.

If that isn't a case of bias, I don't know what is.
