Powell is a mystery to me, last season and at the beginning of this season he was a very good RS center, he's not the enforcer in the paint, but he's very good at the perimeter, I did notice him more and more in drop coverage, probabely because DFS is no longer in DAL and other guys allow too much dribble penetration.
Luka and Kyrie worked well from day 1 on offense, the problem of the team is defense.

Yeah, Powell plays because of his defense. He can challenge a bit on the perimeter and, as Chuck said, he has a non-stop motor.

Unfortunately, he's undersized. He also can't post up, can't shoot, and isn't great at finishing around the rim unless it's a lob.

He's an expiring contract and I think he's gone next year unless he signs for a reduced deal.

3rd ballhandler and legit center are the huge needs in the summer. Along with all-around defensive help. And, of course, trying to re-sign Kyrie.

Unless Kyrie bolts, and DAL go cap space route, Powell will re-sign IMO

I know Cuban loves Powell, but if he comes back I think it's for less money if they need that cash for another player.

We'll see.

Mavs just put up a video of every bucket scored from last night's game by the duo (82 total points).

It was the first time in Mavs history that a pair of players on their squad each had 40 points in a game.

Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

The video above is great. It's court-level sound. No announcers.

Tough loss against the Suns.

Phoenix is just really good. They're going to be a seriously tough out in the playoffs.

Kyrie was good, Luka was rushing shots and did not shoot well. Overall, though, the team played well against a better opponent.

Suns are unpredictable with the lack of chemistry though so are the Mavs to some degree with Kyrie playing just a few more games with the Mavs. LOL at comments like 'Booker is extremely intimidated by Luka'. Just additional motivation for him. Mavs in trouble when Suns beta will give his best against your team. CP3 going MIA won't save you this time.

But Booker is easily intimidated though. Remember when he tried to step up to Jokic and then kept backing away once Jokic got into his face

Not sure what you mean. Was it when Suns beat Nuggets 4-0 ?

Nice try. I'm taking about a specific incident, not about the series result.

It is Jokic, who never shy away from any smoke. We are not talking about some other guy who needs to complain about the officials after every miss even when he shoots nearly 20 free throws.

No one denies all that about Luka. But the real softie is Booker as evidenced by his numerous interactions which you can see in the post that I linked.

No one denies all that about Luka. He mainly focuses on the refs. But the real softie is Booker as evidenced by his numerous interactions which you can see in the post that I linked.

That particular altercation, I can understand both sides. Refs missed an obvious call for Jokic and he took a frustration foul (a little bit harder than he thought on Payne); however, Booker should somewhat help confront that situation by standing up to Jokic. I wouldn’t recommend myself doing the same thing, but it’s the right thing for his team.

His interactions mean he's soft ? Do you even know the meaning of the word ?

I had forgotten about the Jokic interaction, thought it was probably in that 4:0 series after thinking about it. He sticks up for his teammate after a dirty cheap shot by a player double the size of Payne. Yes, a bigger person will make you step back in face to face situation, but I don't see how someone can look at this as Booker being soft. Again, check the meaning of the word in the dictionary.

Better opponent is a little rushed, the Mavs are a great team. Irving and Luka are hard to contain and they did a good job of getting some shooters.

Mavs beat Utah tonight in Dallas.

Low-energy game, but it picked up in the fourth quarter.

Kyrie with 17 points in the 4th.

Dallas defense still sucks.

Kyrie 33/6/8................Luka 29/10/6...................Hardaway 24
Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

Dallas can literally score with anyone, or better than anyone, but all these games are so damn close cause their defense is so bad

Mavs might as well field the floor with all offensive players and went for the all out attack way :D
