I think at this point it's fair to say Prescott is paid close to where he ranks. Watson and Murray contracts are insane. It's crazy how the Browns continue to place themselves as the epitome of bad decisions.

Mahomes going to get like a $500m deal at some point. Rest of his team will be playing for min wage.
Just for your information, Mahomes signed a 10 year contract two years ago. Kansas City has him signed and locked in for the next 8 years. Of course if they ever need any help due to circumstances, they can always redo and free up some money if and when they need to. Considering what these lesser QB's are asking for lately, seems the Chiefs made a very good deal at the time. Many posters in the general forum said Kansas City was going down after giving Mahomes that contract. There run was over. Many said they wouldn't be able to keep players and there days of winning division and going to Super Bowls was over. IMHO opinion no QB currently in the NFL should be making more than Mahomes.

I meant $500m GUARANTEED because that is what Cactus Jack's tweet was listing out. Guaranteed money is really the most important part of the contract. I did forget that Mahomes had a 10 year deal locked in, and I think it will be really interesting to see if he can play that whole thing out without holding out for more money, because 4-5 years from now he is probably going to be one of the lower paid QBs in the NFL. Brady never needed huge contracts though so maybe.

Tyron Smith being restructured. He would be really good depth for the OL.

Don’t hold your breath on signing or trading for any of them.

My bet is the cap room will be used to extend Diggs and resign LVE.

I agree. And there are some really good Fa's out there but the 3 mentioned above would be horrible choices imho. Do you have the details of the Martin and Prescott reconstructed contracts?

Cowboys just freed up 30 million on this year's cap space by restructuring Martin and Dak's contract. Dak and Martin still get there full salaries, however most of there base salary was converted into a signing bonus to free up the money and the cap hit is pushed down the road to 2024 season. Doing this means we are stuck with Dak 2 years and not one. He's playing to end the end of his contract. This also tells me Jerry has a hard on to spend big money on big time free agents and is going all in the next two years. Apparently he hasn't learned his lesson from past sins.

Bjj, I just read that Dak’s cap number next year will jump to nearly $60m in 2024.

That is correct. The restructure freed up 30 million of cap space for this season but pushed more cap money to the end of Dak's contract. Can you believe it. Were stuck with this dumb ass for another 2 years. :banghead:

It's an all-in push and I love it. They know it's do or die time. We were knocking on the door last season, time to give it one last shove.

If we do well next season Dak's contract will simply be redone all together. That will be Dak for the next 4-5+ years. But he won't get $60m in 2024.

If we do poorly Dak will play out 2024 get his final big pay day then become a FA, McCarthy will be fired, and we rebuild the team from the ground up.

Jerry might see this as his last go as well, then retire and hand the team over to Stephen.

Is “stuck” the right word when they actually want to keep him?

Don’t forget that the last year of Dak’s contract is voidable. They will push as much of the. In-guaranteed money to that year.

Here's another thing that gets over looked in restructuring contracts like this. The salary cap will go up like $20m next year. That eats up almost everything they are moving over alone.

No. Its the right word for me. Could careless what the front office and the Jones want to call it. We've seen this movie before. Many times actually over the past 27 years.

Very happy he's returning.

Now - maybe do something with LVE?

Stephon Gilmore for a 5th round comp pick is not bad at all.

:cuddle :kiss :rocking: This more than replaces Anthony Brown. Brown's injury was so brutal I'm not sure he will have a career going forward.
