Don’t think it’s just this board. IQ is going to get some big offers this summer off of his potential alone.

The Clippers probably feel like complete morons for not making a real offer when the Knicks were shopping him. They'd likely win a title with this version of IQ at PG. Now they're stuck with Russ lol.

Also, IQ is not an FA this summer fyi. He's just extension eligible. Not sure that's what you mean but just want to clarify.

For the Knicks in particular I prefer Quickley. Quickley is capable of padding 20 ppg too, he is a better scorer than RJ Brickratt. Problem is we have so many scorers on this team and RJ is the 3rd option and takes away shots.

Quickley is a very good defender, Maxey cannot guard a garbage can.

They have pretty similar efficiency. And Quickley is a way better defender

No irony here. Y’all being so convinced speaks volumes.

I think Maxey has a strong resume and you cannot assume that IQ could do the same, but still… it is impressive what he seems to be turning into.

Well yes I do if I have to, but I don’t think it is really worth it.

For argument’s sake, over the latest hot streak (last ten games), which clearly may be an outlier for IQ in comparison to the 13.4 ppg on the season, Maxey has still outplayed IQ.

You will say defense this, floor general that (which the assist numbers don’t back up), but you also cannot ignore that Maxey has been doing his thing steadily, while it is unknown what IQ will be two weeks from now / in the playoffs. Maxey has been great for a while and on the big stage. Cannot disregard that.

Anyway, nice to see him take off and I think there is some merit to the comparison. But 20 crazy efficient ppg over an entire season is still a great accomplishment and meanwhile your man is sitting at 18 ppg over some hot stretch. Shame if he flamed out …

IQ averages 19/5/5 in 11 games as a starter on 56% TS this season. It’s not ridiculous to say in a similar role, IQ could put up similar numbers to Maxey. Not to mention he’s a much better defender on top of that.

He has a strong resume because he's been given more minutes from the get go. IQ is just now showing what he can do.

IQ is averaging 22.6 ppg 6.1 apg 6 rpg as a starting PG this year (the 9 games brunson missed and he started at PG) and we are 5-4 in those 9 games without brunson (we had that dallas game won, should be 6-3)

Brunson averages 23.8 ppg 6.1 apg and 3.1 rpg as a basis for comparison here and he's basically an all-star

He has shown what he can do versus the Lakers and the Trailblazers too.
