I don't think he's coming back. And since the FO refused to get any help, the Warriors are probably done.

How much longer do we give this until we're worried that something more serious/sinister is going on here?

I don't know but hearing Kerr speak on this situation I'm not getting my hopes up he's returning.

Yea, I'm starting to think that he's in a rehab facility somewhere.

I got nailed for questioning him in another thread yesterday by someone and if it's a family member or whatever say it and they could have used his roster spot for Lamb if he's not coming back. Isn't there a unable to perform list like in the NFL?

If he's not with the team at all, he's probably not keeping up his fitness level.

If he's even in the right headspace to even work out regularly on his own.

Myers has said they didn't think he'd be away rest of the regular season but that was about a week ago.

Is he in rehab? For this to go on this long, seems like the only thing that makes any sense. And if that's the case, no he's not coming back. And if that's true, the Warriors should just tell us he's not coming back.

what was it a week or so ago Kerr said cavalry is coming, Steph, Wiggs, Payton, why would he say that if Wiggs wasn't likely to come back? Don't get me wrong I don't see him coming back.

That's true. Both Kerr and Myers indicated Wiggins return was just around the corner. But we all should have learned by now that what they say and what actually takes place are two entirely different things.

Why don't we all just wish the best for Wiggins and leave it at that. Life is way more important that basketball.

well this is the latest. Well now it's a "hope" he comes back.

Slater: "A week or so ago, the expectation still was that Andrew would return at some point this season. Does that remain the expectation that he'll be back?"

Kerr: "I think that's the hope, but really there's nothing to report on, so we're giving him his space as we've talked about as he deals with something that's way more important than the game. If he's able to come back, then that would be great, and if not, then that's the case. Whatever happens, we handle it accordingly."

From that Kerr quote it sounds like substance abuse to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the groin injury earlier in the year was somehow related either.

I'm not saying I disagree with you but if that was the case wouldn't the league get involved, wouldn't you get suspended?

It could be alcohol or pain meds, so no. Neither of those are banned by the league.

Slater said on some pod that it was a family issue and not anything the matter with him specifically.

That's good, but wouldn't most family issues be resolved by now though? I don't remember any other NBA player who has missed this much time for a family issue.

I try not to speculate, but this has gone on WAY too long for a simple family matter, and the Dubs are providing zero information. I've got a pretty big extended family, and drug/alcohol abuse, mental illness, and other major personal issues are all "family matters". It's a great catch-all way to dodge a question.

This does beg the question, "is the season done?" The Dubs got no help at the deadline, and they look terrible on the road. They're a .500 team after 60+ games, and especially without Wiggs, they have no chance. All season, they've been losing to teams that are missing key starters of their own. Tonight it's a 1-pt game at halftime at home against a Bucks team without Giannis. Starting to look done to me.
