2ND Q: SPURS 68 NUGGETS 67

VERY proud of our effort and execution from start to almost finish. A 42-point Q and holding them to under 30 is the two-pronged type of game we love to see.

It helps that we stopped trading 2s for 3s and flipped it. We made 5-11 from the arc this Q, much better. Doug is 3-3 from the arc for 6-7 and 2-3FTs to lead us with 17, part of a 31-point bench contribution which is outscoring them 31-13. Awesome.

Everyone who has played has scored - THIS is the value of a pass-first PG who loves to distribute and has a couple of his own shots in the toolkit. Tre's coming off the bench yet leads us with 6 assists. Keldon (!) leads the starters with 4. This is a terrific surprise. He also leads the starters with 16 points on 6-8, 2-3 from 3, 2-3FTs. Oh and he also has 5 boards.

Collins leads us with 7 rebounds. We have a 25-21 edge on the boards, but have to be careful about second chance points as we are down 8-6 on O boards.

We have 17 assists and 5 steals but from our 10TOs (which have cost us 12 points)a whopping 8 are on their steals so ball protection and purposeful passing and movement are a must.

We leads the PITP 38-34 so we've done a nice job finding cutters. Drive and kicks are working well, too.

We must be careful about the high low passes and back door cuts ourselves.

Really nice, resilient work to come back from a 14-point deficit and get and keep the lead by half.

Play together. Stay together.

Really loved Keldon's drive, two foot lift off on Jokic. Was able to use his bulk and balance to get the space, muscle in for 2.
