This is on the coach. I’ve seen many times open players pass on open shots to force create for another player and failed because of the process and play set.

Bam is good and is a very valuable playoff player defensively. The people saying we need to trade Jimmy and build around Bam are insane though. Those were the same fans that said Dwyane Wade needed to give the keys of the team over to Goran or all people.

Where’s this narrative coming from that Jimmy was bad for most of the season. He averaged 21/6/5 on 62 TS% (highest of his career) BEFORE the all star break. The only real knock on him is that he played 44 out of the 59 games but that’s life with Jimmy, he’s older and has a lot of miles.

Oh he’s been pretty damn good. He’s a top 10 player in the league but he’s coasted his ass off on at least 50% of the games he’s played in addition to the 15 he’s missed. If the team wasn’t rotating 10 undrafted guys all year it might not be an issue but unfortunately that isn’t the case
