1ST Q: SPURS 19 THUNDER 29

Well it's not exactly a shootout, more like a miss out, but we're having a tough time getting good shots up after having a hard time creating them. Too many late clock heaves.

Also both teams have combined for 18FTAs already so there have been a lot of stops which has affected the flow of the game.

If anything, even though we have enough guards available, so far this game shows the importance of ball-movement oriented players. With Tre and Sochan out we are having a hard time getting the ball into the right hands in a timely fashion.

We have to be mindful about end of Q details with that 7-0 run against.

Run back, move more, help the PGs out by coming to the ball at better angles.

Nice help D by Collins to close off the baseline drive, and then Graham steps up to steal the baseline pass attempt.

THEN we do the classic TO right after we get a steal hhhhnnngh...

Collins from post position turns inward, jab step to create space, then makes a nice bounce pass to a moving Diop inside who gets the basket and foul. Smart, simple play by both.

Pretty Doug back door cut, pretty pass by Collins - again! - and really nice finish by Doug - yeah without dribbling the ball - I was just thinking that as Sean said it.

Now a two-man game the other way with Collins pass to Doug up top, rolls down, Doug quick pass down low for the quick hook, again not putting the ball down first.

We give up a fast break bucket but get a Collins 3 the other way.

Doug curl drive from the corner for a hook floater type of basket.

Really like it, too, when Doug comes over a screen and gets the pass, his first dribble is farther ahead and he runs to catch up to it, get in rhythm, and shoot. Creates space, gets the ball out of swiping hands, rhythm, balance, shot.

Before it was Collins to Diop down low, now it was Diop drive and mini dish to trailing Collins at the rim for the 2 and foul.

Collins has a nice two-man game with just about every other Spur.

Devin versus three defenders and a bungled pass is a rare bad decision and execution.

Then he find CBass down low left who powers a basket through and gets the foul.
