Is it so implausible to Bring in KG? Few regular season games left and playoffs. KG/Boston can get a feel of his coaching and decide if more down the road would be fitting. If Tatum, Brad and Joe reached out, I have a hard time believing KG wouldn't at least consider it.

Would you trade Smart in the off-season?
He is one of my favorite players, but recently he is a liability
His assist numbers fell off a cliff after his injury and his defense is nothing to write home about
And we have White and Brogs playing better

As a die hard smart supporter, I would consider it. I would consider all deals.

I feel like this is the offseason that Joel Embiid demands a trade so have to plan on that, and that dictates what happens to smart.
HAve to assume an embiid trade is Brown and Timelord, so you need to keep smart then.

If Brown is planning on staying, then you have to shop Smart for a bigman

Tatum's gotten killed at times for turnovers, but I think a piece of it is built in. Obviously bad decisions are one thing.

On the other hand, Tatum's length and quickness are part of what makes him great, but also being really tall and narrow goes hand in hand with not having the built-in structure to protect the ball as well as a smaller or thicker guy.

With all the commentary on Boston's losses, I am wondering if fatigue is or is starting to play a role with Tatum. He has shoot like shet for over a month. Tired legs can do that. Can cause more "settling" on 3s than driving to the rim.

Its also going to be tough to keep Jaylen if he doesn't make All NBA AND they don't win the title. If that doesn't happen theres a legitimate shot he asks out to Miami or Atlanta. That would not be good at all.

I have been quiet lately, watching the games and mostly reading the posts with very few of my own comments.

I'm going to voice my opinion on a few things, and there will be many that won't agree with me, but some that will. That is your right.

1) Tatum is our best player, but he needs to realize that if he talks the talk of wanting to be in the MVP of the league conversation, you have to play that way for EVERY game, All season. Sure, an MVP is going to have bad games, but he has way too many. Also, when a true MVP caliber player is having an off night, they pick it up in other areas. I have noticed when Tatim is have an off-night scoring, he does a lot of ball watching on defense. Not every play, but way to may for someone who wants to be considered in the MVP conversation. Just watch Tatum on the highlights that Keith Smith posted from the game last night in the 10 takeaways on the Celtics Blog. I see Tatum doing a lot of standing and watching.

2) IMO, we will never win a championship with Smart as our starting point guard. He tries to many high light passes when a normal pass would be wiser. He has been making bonehead plays resulting in a tech, when they are not needed. He is back to the idea that he is a high-quality scorer. He is not. In the flow of the offense, sure take your shot. But since he has come back from injury, his assists have gone down, and his turnovers and fouls seem to have gone up, along with his techs. It seems to me he is searching for the highlight pass or defensive play. Is he afraid that White is going to replace him in the starting lineup? If he isn't maybe, he should be. Could/ should he be moved this off season? Maybe.

3) Grant Williams seems to have lost it. Running his mouth ALL the time, and not being able to back it up has him playing like a broken man. Not sure I would offer him a contract north of 10 mill a year now. I maybe even look to sign and trade him this off season, along with Smart.

4) Last thing. Brad, the Kornet thing isn't working. Blake Griffin has had so many more hustle plays than Kornet, it really is no comparison. This summer, he may need to be let go, and bring in Kabengele to take his spot.
