With players held out is that a soft tank or do they really need to sit out? Hali and Myles.
Is the goal to get to playoffs no matter what?

We need to make sure that the Pistons don't knock the Rockets out of the 31st or 32nd spot in the 2nd round.

The Pacers are 1.5 games out of 5th WORST in the entire NBA and a little win streak could make them play in fake wildcard system, ruining their draft odds of getting a absolute game changing player at a relatively low cost. Pacers are 31-38, their over/under by Vegas because the season started 25.5. And people are thinking playoffs?

I looked at the remaining schedules for pacers, Bulls, Wizards and Raptors. I’ll be really surprised if we don’t finish ahead of the Bulls. As for Raptors and Wizards I’d call it a toss up. Maybe we play good teams and home games straight with starters resting for the others? I’d like to see us retain a top 10 pick and avoid the play in. That can be done easily enough by shutting Tyrese and Myles.

I think we might be able to have our cake and eat it too by making the play-in and then losing. the play-in experience would be good for player development.

but the Detroit loss was a major set back for making the play-in. a win would've be a standings jump. we've got two really hard games coming up this week and more road games left than the teams we're close to in the standings. I think we'll slide back regardless of who plays and I wouldn't have felt that way had we won in Detroit and San Antonio.

Good night last night if you are pulling for the Raps and Wiz to stay ahead of Pacers. Pels, Bulls and Blazers look like our tank competition now. I see minimum value to making the play in. Everyone was totally juiced by the Pels last year. Played into round one and showed well in their matchup with the Suns. All without Zion. Now they can’t win to save themselves. Doesn’t look their experience did anything for them.
