He's not.

He shot over 55% last 5 games. How is he not the most efficient player? Also he averaged 16 ppg last 5 games

Because the season isn’t 5 games long?

The more I think about it the more I love the idea. Veteran leader with championship experience. Former all-star with exactly the skill set we need from the lead guard. Great bill of health. After securing his future with a big pay day he'll likely accept his role as a third option with a primary focus to get the ball to Paolo and Franz.

Getting a prime all-star sounds nice but feels too disruptive to our build through the draft strategy. Sticking with Fultz sounds nice but he really needs to knock down shots and I think this ship has sailed.

Please don't. You all have such an exciting, likeable, young team. As someone who has watched him suck the life out of my beloved team, there's nothing more I want than for him to get the f outta here but I really do enjoy watching your team.

This guy is terrible and a locker room cancer.

Please don't listen to this guy. Signing FVV will bring a lot and he's likely at a discount after his poor shooting 3pt season after his all-star campaign.

I just dont see VanVleet being a good player much longer. I dont want him but if we did sign him, I hope it will be 2 years max.

When did Jameer Nelson start tailing off??

What are his locker room issues?

He's a selfish player. Cares more about his contract and money than the betterment of the team. That all star selection got to his head. I wouldn't want to sign an aging short point guard about to hit 30. His defense is declining as he gets older. He was best suited to being a spark plug of the bench, he's a 4th option who thinks he should be a 1st option.

But by all means, I hope the magic take him.

Come on, has Jameer Nelson ever had a FMVP vote? or All Defense team vote?

He has shot terribly for a year and half, yet people disingenuously post his "career numbers" from when he was a mere contributor instead of the lead guard OR his last X games.

would not mind him here as a veteran who's won a chip and can provide what we need....i feel like he can help elevate the team a bit until paolo and franz are really ready to step into leadership roles

im not a fan of Flltz and the most simple solution is to move him, but still it has to be said that in the past 2 months (25 games) he is scoring 14.7 points on above average TS - 59,60% for Fultz, 58,10% league wise. Is it sustainable - who knows? right now he is proving that he can be ok offensive player even without a 3pt shot.

His individual play is not bad...it's just the limiting effect on making the game easier for the rest of the team that is most people's concern. NO floor spacing from the PG position is not sustainable. Westbrook is again the best example...the guy can put up historic numbers but in today's high-scoring NBA, it's not enough if you're not contributing to your teammates' also getting easier scoring opportunities. Fultz never draws a double and doesn't even pull his own man through picks at the perimeter...he could be scoring 18ppg+ and I'd feel the same.

Then why are we praying for drafting the Thompson twins? They have no shooting either. I'd like to keep Fultz since he is the most efficient scorer on the team, period

You've never heard me praying for the twins...them having no shooting isn't a good reason to keep our own no-shooting guy too. We need to not have no-shooting guys. Period.

Jameer probably would have got a FMVP vote if he was healthy in rhythm for it. We win that series with a healthy Jameer. FVV being a good defender is a joke, sure he fights but hes still a small guy. I will take prime Jameer over FVV easy.

FVV hate reminds me that this franchise has now been exposed to D level PGs for 12 years so people forgot how good PG looks like,

Hint: not like Elfrid Payton , not like Markelle Fultz

Those guys make random scrubs like Javon Carter look like prime Steve Nash

FVV tonight: 36 pts, 3 reb, 7 ast, 3 stl, 13-22 FG, 8-12 3PT, +21 in a 15-point win over Denver.

Fred's 10th game this season where he's made at least 5 threes.

I would rather draft a PG than pursue FVV. Good player but I don't just think he fits.

I m against overpaying for FVV but you can't deny the fit, 3pt , vet, XP, no need to lose assets to get him
