On pure productively in active games played

Zion is still the best player in the draft. Bar none.

If injury related. Ja is the best pick.

Bad words carry more of a penalty than threatening people with guns and beating up teenagers. Interesting times.

It's gonna take a lot of counseling to deprogram a guy raised in today's music culture. Especially in this days were TMZ and cameras are everywhere
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player

Counseling or just a PR seminar. Makes me think of a Lupe song

"Prescribed me a publicist and pointed to the door
Out, ouch
I'm tellin' you this all from a therapist's couch
"Tell me about your mother, what she's all about"
Prescribed me a interview and then told me to bounce"

Too late for that. He already made an all-NBA 2nd team last year so he got the bag.

Are we surprised? Honestly Silver is a spineless toad who can be walked all over. If anything they should've done the following with Morant and other players who've done dumb ****:

1) Suspend Morant for the rest of the season+playoffs+next year all without pay. This would suck for Grizzlies fans because they honestly have a phenomenal team, but when you have a face of the league that you're trying to market going out pulling a reverse 8 mile and acting like some tough guy that's BS. Then you have the laser pointing incident in which arena employees could've gotten harmed, then the incident involving an underage kid and now you got him surrounding himself with sycophants who'll tell him everything he wants to hear with no effs given about his long-term well being.

A guy like David Stern or anybody else would've sat him down and reminded him what Stern reminded Melo: Stern told Melo straight up that I know where you and your friends live, I know when you go to sleep and when you wake up. Wanna go running on the streets no problem because you'll forfeit all your future salary and blow the opportunity of a lifetime. Just remember this: the league survived before you and it'll survive without you.

2) Miles Bridges incident. He took a plea bargain and he's on probation for 3 years+having to do a bunch of parenting classes+submit drug samples due to him dry snitching on himself taking codeine. If Silver had a spine, he'd send a memo to all 30 teams that Bridges will not be welcomed back into the league until he passes his probation. The crap he did to his wife and the scarring he did to his son and daughter is sickening.

Doing something like that would remind every player that if you want to commit crimes that affect the bottom line, you won't have a job in this league. Honestly basketball should be the least of Bridges's concerns as this guy should be in prison but because he's a pro ball player he got leniency which is BS. Sucks for the Hornets as their season was destroyed before it began but honestly if the NBA were smart they'd gift wrap them the #2 pick for Brandon Miller to convince Charlotte to renounce Bridges bird rights(they ain't getting #1 based on their history).

There's way more nonsense he's allowed to happen under his watch but I'm not gonna bother.

What did Stern do about Kobes rape accusation? Karl Malones Confirmed history of statutory rape? Or when Jason Kidd beat his wife?

Don't get me wrong Stern screwed up in that regards. What Malone did was disgusting and outside of a few special events(75th NBA anniversary, all-star game in Utah) dude's been keeping a low profile. Kobe and Kidd should've been dealt with but sadly weren't. Kidd got traded immediately after while Kobe had to start from ground zero.

My guess is that if your a superstar that brings in a lot of revenue, the league will look the other way as evidenced by the stuff past/current superstars have done.

The threat or thought of violence has become more dangerous to many people than actual violence.

You guys will think I'm crazy, but I actually think Garland would be a better fit on this Grizz team.
Better passer, better spacer, better defender.
Ja is a better floor raiser so he would have more impact for a bad team, but the Grizz are good even without Ja.

8 games by the NBA and only 2 counting feels too short a suspension. I thought at least 20 games was appropiate.

I’m not sure why Ja thinks ownership of the gun matters.

Leave it to the Post to put the most unflattering micro expression in that tweet. Whoever is in charge of that social media account made the decision to use that still.

The fact that he’s talking about the gun not being his as though that mitigates what happened isn’t an encouraging sign though.

I hate when people just believe a quote out of context like you did here.

What if the question was
Is the gun yours??

What does morant supposed to say ??

NY post are pros and get low IQ people to bite on narratives and headlines without reading or
wathing the whole interview

They're 27-12 without him the past two seasons. His contract increases by 3X next summer. Time to trade after he holds it together under the tight leash over the next few weeks and regains some faith (before inevitably ruining it again).
