I think Stroud is the safest pick. I can see people saying

Anthony Richardson - Remember when he had a great combine and we brought into the hype...?

Bryce Young - He was too undersized and injury prone.'

Will Levis - Only the Panthers can jump up that high and miss out on so many other quality QB's.

With Stroud I don't see any red flags.

If I were GM I would take Stroud just because. One thing about me is I love to go against the grain and I hate to have someone force feed me the other QB's. Aint no way I am picking a player because they expect me too.

I heard that the Panthers are really impressed by Stroud so thats a great sign

Stroud does seem like the safe pick on the surface, but the trend of OSU quarterbacks turning into pumpkins after being drafted does give me pause. Haskins was a monumental flop and while Fields looked a lot better last year he was still a poor passer, the elite rushing ability made it work anyway.

I can talk myself into and out of all the top guys except Levis who I have no confidence in at all. Richardson has crazy potential but I just don't see why you trade up to 1 to draft a guy who you could probably get a few picks later and possibly even at 9 in the best-case.

Stroud is the best mix of upside and floor.
Young has the best upside overall, but is smaller than ideal.
Richardson has the most "boom or bust" upside.
Levis is average upside and average floor.

If Houston really like Young or Stroud, I'd trade back to #2 and pick whoever they pass on.

I do think it's kinda of humorous that Fitterer gave that 'you gotta have conviction about a guy to pay such a high price and move up' soundbite and then after we pay a king's ransom for the 1st pick it immediately leaks that we may not really have a strong preference yet.

I guess it could be smokescreen too.

Don't sleep on Stetson Bennet IV or Max Duggan. I either wanted us to trade up or back for one of those two. I hope we trade back and get whoever falls to us between Young and Stroud.

I just hope we go with stroud. He is safe. We don't have anyone for either qb to throw it too. I hope that the Texans are willing to swap picks with us and Stroud falls to us and we take him #2.

That's a good signing. Didn't think we'd get a star RB this offseason.

Signed the Bengals TE too. Had more catches the past 2 seasons than our other TE's combined.

Backup QB: Dalton

4 starters and a backup QB who'd be the best QB last year.

If they hit on Stroud or Young, they should win the division.

And right after I hit submit, they signed DeShawn Williams. Started for Denver last season at DT.

I think I want Young more than Stroud. Stroud is a HORRIBLE scrambler. But I wouldn't be upset if we got him I just want Young more.

No #1's available, but there are 3-4 guys left that would be solid #2's.

The offense, as far as passing goes, will probably be like when Cam was here and the TE was the #1 target.

If we keep Foreman, we'll probably have the best RB crop in the league.

I am not huge on DJ but I woulda loved Young to DJ or Stroud to DJ but we have a decent o-line so im good
