Instead of discussing the actual event, you are downplaying Ja's actions (and we are talking about the string of incidences leading up to his suspension) based on his skin color. It would be like me saying I've lurked this board for years and have been here long enough to know that if Jokic or Doncic did the same things, there would be a bigger uproar (not that I believe this is true). It is pointless. So if you want to make a claim that the public (or comments in here) are harder on Ja due to his skin color, then find us an incident that happened recently that was similar and that white/european (whatever you are claiming) are being judged more leniently.

It's not that he simply had a gun, he quite likely brought the gun on the team plane and then if he was drinking he would have been in violation of local laws but a lot of stuff cannot be verified or the league just isn't going to do a lengthy investigation on a very popular star on an unpopular team like the Grizzlies that will struggle to ever attract a major free agent in free agency.

Quite possibly he broke the law but the league and the authorities won't go out of their way to investigate potential law violations here.

Slap on the wrist for Ja but hopefully he can stop acting like a wannabe gangster and be a positive role model from here on out.
