Teams have been walking Ortiz all year to get to Manny and the plan has worked everytime up unitl game 2. Manny would either strikeout or ground into a double play. Plus the whole righty vs. righty matchup makes more sense, and add to the fact Manny Rameriz is not clutch and Ortiz is. So the move made sense, K-Rod just didn't execute.

Oh yeah I forgot about that "clutch stat".
Lets look at this year.
Manny Ramirez with baseloaded hit .333 this year. .364 OBP .444 slg
Manny Ramirez with RISP and 2 outs .316 .458 OBP .491 slg
For his career
Baseloaded .335 .387 OBP .724 slg
RISP 2 Outs .315 .460 OBP .607 slg
Manny Ramirez has come up with big hits for the Red Sox for his whole time here. Sure this is his first walk off home run, but that still doesn't mean he wasn't productive.

That series just seemed too easy. Now, if the Indians and Yankees can beat the crap out of each other, the Sox should be in great shape. Here is the question though. Do you start Schilling in game 2? Beckett in games 1, 4, 7 if necessary. Schilling in 2 and 5. Dice K in 3, but if I'm not mistaken, they would need a 4th starter for game 6 due to regular rest. Good position to be in though.

Well, our rotation will be lined up because of the sweep and the rest we get. Basically Beckett, Schilling, and Dic-K will all pitch twice in the series if it goes 7 games. Beckett goes in game one and five, Dice-K in game 2 and 6, Schill in game three and 7. That leaves Wakefield or Lester to pitch game 4.
