Mine is a 26% increase for the play-in and Round 1 (and I thought last year's prices were outrageous). 22.4% increase for Rounds 2/3 not that those matter.

damn. What section and row do you got? No need to be exact, but something close will do. Is it like fanzones?

I'm at Sec 113, row 16. my STH neighbor has same prices but it is his first year as a STH. Though I did move down a few rows this year but was in the same price zone for regular season. The Play-In game costs more than what I paid for Round 2 vs the Sixers in 2019.

Play-in game is over priced. Not sure what MLSE was smoking. Consider it a "loss-leader." How did they even come up with that data? We never been in play-in before. But sure as hell, demand won't be there compared to Round 1.

Ie) Brooklyn, Boston, New York, LA, Golden State, etc where the season seat holder pricing is hiked each year win or lose to the point there is lower gap or non-existent gap with the re-sale market. I think we are a few years away from this point, but something to watch for. There is abundance of a waiting list that MLSE couldn't care less what us seat holders thinks of pricing. The resale pricing unfortunately is still well above seat holder cost so further hikes to come for us or resale pricing has to come down.

For sure, but the re-sale marketplaces are also tracked so they should just be adding the commercial premium to those accounts.
What's funny though is the only tier 1 games this year had quite a high membership cost (LAL and GSW) and both ended up without the star players playing: Curry, and then LBJ/AD. I didn't see what they were going for prior to that, but I'm sure going into the game many went well under face.

Yeah, I agree they need to hit more people with the "reseller premium" pricing on their seasons. If you sell like more than 40% of your seats on Ticketmaster, you should get an automatic conversion (no questions asked). Seems the policy is inconsistent and keeps people guessing.
Dynamic pricing only works when you can count on full rosters to play. Load management and unfortunate injuries has derailed that lately (last few years). So what ends up happening is some games are under priced and others overpriced. Also got to wonder if next season you see folks willing to pay less to see GSW/LAK.

Problem is I don't even think there is an enforced policy outside of maybe people who own a full row of seats etc. MLSE gets a cut of TM resale fees so they're far happier for SSH to re-sell on there so they can double dip.

I also don't think the waiting list is as long as people think it is.

And yeah to the other posts these play-in prices are wild.

Hah, I had a suspicion it would be like that. For the first time since 2014, I didn't opt in to playoff tickets by the "deadline" last Friday. Of course, MLSE contacted me today to ask if I was sure I didn't want them, so I assume they didn't get a big uptake.

I went to Games 3 and 4 against the Sixers last year (thank God I sold Game 6), but I remember how overpriced and hard to get rid of (even at a breakeven price) playoff tickets tend to be, even during the 2019 run before the Finals. Raps make it harder by invariably losing the first two games of the series. And I swear Ticketmaster doubles its vig for reselling playoff tickets.

F MLSE (and Ticketmaster). I'll watch the game(s) in the comfort of my home on my 4K TV.

Sorry I never replied - I don’t check the boards often and just saw this now. Best to send me DM in the future as I get notified of a DM by email.

I’m going to post below for the play in with same seats - and will sell a single or pair (I prefer to sell one and I’ll use the other).

Have play in seats available in section 308 row 2. It’s a very good upper bowl pair, just one section off mid court.

I’ll sell as a single ($190) or pair ($385). Season seat holder prices.

Please DM me if interested as sometimes I miss replies on the board, but I get notified by email if you DM me.

Thanks!

Payment can be split over the next 11 months. Send me a message if interested.

Play in Game Tix available vs Bulls:

Section 111, Row 18, seats 3 & 4 - asking $260 each.

Avoid the ridiculous TM mark-ups - I have these listed on the Raptors Resale and they charge an additional $75 per ticket!
