Well scoring 34 is terrific. But we finished 2-4 from 3 and after they started 1-5 we settled and got away from contesting the arc, allowing them to go 2-3 toward the end of the Q. Some bobbled balls on the boards didn't help. We have allowed 5-2 against on O boards, so once again arc and ball protection, Spurs!

Romeo looks good on drives. Blake has a tough task on D but is quick enough to stay with his opponent counterparts. Everyone but Diop has scored, which is to say every Spur who has attempted a shot has scored. Good distribution.

3s and rebounds, gents. Also, we are only 2-5FTs. Let's make the most of our chances.

2ND Q: SPURS 61 HAWKS 83

I get that we are undermanned, and that we suck on D in most games, but still, 80 allowed at the half is far and away from the standard not only we have but want.

Both teams have 5-12 from the arc but we're bleeding points on open ones as well as too many fouls that have cost us 14-14FTs whereas we have manufactured half the chances, making 4-7FTs.

We're shooting over 50% from the field and the 61 points attests to it. Again, SCORING has been the issue for us far less this season. But we're allowing just over 60% from the field against. And we're not boxing out as we're on the wrong end of 27-15 rebounds and 9-5 on O boards.

Everything is FAR too easy against us - PITP (38-34 against), second chances and subsequent points. Too may reaches, not enough footwork and body.

I imagine hearing Pop ripping us for the SOFT play. I know it's Sunday afternoon, and we're missing a lot of guys, but we have to show more physicality, effort, and intent to get stops and protect the ball.

Keldon goes over a screen to try to keep up with Murray. Flails his way over the screen, keep going towards the basket after the too uncontested shot, and BOXES OUT NOBODY, ALLOWING HIS MAN, MURRAY, TO EASILY GET THE O BOARD.
