No, he injured it on Sunday in the SEC championship game buddy. If Miller was trying to protect his stock he would shut it down like non competitive Scoot did.

Ah ok so this is just you arbitrarily deciding what is and isn't legitimate to validate your narrative.

I’m sure Scoot does have some injuries, but he could probably play through them like Miller is doing.

Difference between Miller and Scoot at this point, Scoot struggled and then decided to stop playing the last 5 games.

I fully expect Miller to have several big time moments to finish the year in the tourney.

Miller has had a few highlight moments, including a really great chase down block on one end and a runout three on other end in a matter of 5 seconds.

He has 15 pts with 11 mins left, has a shot to turn this into a really big game

Another inefficient night against a good Maryland defense though I do like that he is getting to the line during his extended slump.

Next opportunity vs a great San Diego St defense and possibly a great Creighton defense after that.

I can't believe the numbers he's putting up on an actual contender as a frosh. Who is the last one to do that? Melo?

There might be some Thad Young style slash line, but there have been plenty of heavily contributing youngsters in the last two decades.

Well the tied as turned on Miller. Most people now believe he is a functioning 6’9 dude who will be a shooter because he doesn’t have great athleticism.

Sounds like most mocks have him outside the top 10

Huh? Which mocks have him outside of the top 10?

Yea I guess Zion & AD. Both are superstars now too. Seems like Miller will be one as well.

Or like Okafor. Or Bagley. Or I'm sure several others.

Miller has been excellent in college, he hasn't been notably special all-time.

Neither of those guys could shoot free throws though. Which is a huge red flag.

This is a post from one week ago:

2. Anthony Davis (17.2)
3. Chet Holmgren (15.0)
4. Karl-Anthony Towns (14.3)
5. Evan Mobley (13.7)
6. Brandon Miller (13.1)
7. Nerlens Noel (12.1)
8. Lonzo Ball (12.0)
9. D'Angelo Russell (11.9)
10. Joel Embiid (11.9)

Pretty good company to be in. Highest ranking among non-bigs and the only player who is neither a big man nor a lead guard.

I think he has had a pretty historic season particularly for a wing/forward. Obviously that doesn't mean he'll be a superstar in the NBA but his college season may still be underrated overall.

Sure, I acknowledge he's been excellent. But that there is a huge step back from 'Best freshman on a contender since Melo?' (which is a weird question as Melo wasn't the best of those since Melo).

Now it's 'Best wing on a contender since 2011 by BPM'

If you have to add 2 new qualifiers to a statement it's not really the same statement at all (counting 2011 and BPM as half qualifiers each, as they're more adjustments than completely new qualifiers).

Given a bit of wiggle room on 'contender' - I'd have it pretty well behind Oden/Love/Davis/Zion as impressive first year seasons since '03 on contenders. Much more in line with Sullinger/Wright/Bagley/Mobley/Zeller/Okafor/Rose/Barrett/Cousins/etc.

I think overall his ballhandling is being underrated. Realistically, how many 6-9 freshman are running pick and roll and highly involved in dribble handoffs?

Don't get me wrong, Alabama is a really good team but he is a really large reason for why. I personally like he is proving his style leads to winning basketball.

To me, he's the Haliburton of wings. Would not be surprised if he had a similar impact on a team in time.

The last guy who was 6'9" or taller and doing that stuff was the #1 pick in 2022.

And that guy wasn't shooting 40% from 3 or playing lock down defense like Miller is.

Paolo, Chet and Zion put up some crazy numbers as freshmen on teams that were title contenders. That's obviously some good company to be in.

Jabari Smith last year, too.

Auburn and Gonzaga were both ranked #1 at one point last season. And Duke made the final 4..

This continues to be a sustained pattern vs top 40 defense going back to the beginning of the season.

What that means? Not sure but I'd like offensive resiliency versus elite D out of my #2 pick.

Made some beautiful passes but for every nice one he had a sloppy turnover.
