Didn't the Spurs just take a guy they had to cut for being a delinquent?

In the mid to late 2nd round, Ware might not be a bad pick.
He would fit the mold of the JD Davison pick last year. By that I mean a guy who going into his freshman season was considered a lottery pick, but then had an up and down freshman season, coach didn't use him the right way, showed some impressive flashes but overall underperformed - ends up going mid to late 2nd round instead of lottery.
Ware actually reminds me a little bit of Brook Lopez. And isn't a guy like Brook Lopez someone that pretty much every NBA team wants right now? A 7-footer who can protect the rim, do a little bit of switching defensively, catch lobs, run DHO's, hit 3's and offer some decent moves and touch around the basket.
Mid to late 2nd round, Ware would be a low risk / high reward pick.

Brook Lopez is strictly a drop big who shoots stand still threes but sometimes punishes mismatches inside. He can't stay with anyone and he's not going to run DHOs effectively because he can't threaten the rim with the dribble.

This mock has him going 31st. If we get that 33rd pick (via houston) and he's still there, you absolutely take Clowney.

Last year's draft, we took a freshman from the university of alabama, so Brad can stay consistent here.
Only shooting 28% from 3 on the season. But he's a better shooter than that % suggests. Got off to a rough start early in the season (adjusting to the college game, the deeper 3 pt line, etc.) but over his past 13 games he's shooting 34% from 3 on good volume (15/44).
I know that might not seem great but for a 6'10" big man who's only a freshman (one of the youngest players in this draft class too, doesn't turn 19 till july) and played a gauntlet of a schedule in the SEC and tough non-conference games, 34% from 3 is actually very good.
Overall, he's just a really tough player. Can play physical, can rebound, block shots, plays hard. And is 1 of the 3 best players on Bama - the #1 ranked team in the country.
I might even try to trade up to get him. Saw some rumors that we may be able to flip Pritchard to a team who is likely to have a late 1st round pick..

#33 from Rockets
#36 from Blazers
#50 goes to OKC for Muscala
#59 goes to WAS
Is this correct? But if Spurs have more wins in last 12 games then Rockets then we will have only Blazers 2nd rounder?

He's starting to get minutes with the first team at Boulogne Levallois and he had his best game last week.
Someone to keep an eye on.
Hard to put too much stock into mock drafts this far out but ESPN just came out with their 2024 mock draft and they have projected Coulibaly to go 8th in 2024 if he doesn't declare this year. I'm liking this pick more and more for the Celtics. Hopefully I still feel that way after watching him play live next week

If he isn't the buyout wing guy we all wanted last month I don't know who is.

UCLA guy. Reminds me a LITTLE bit of Grant Williams.
