Really hope it is just a hyperextension and not more serious especially after the leg injury he suffered earlier in his career.

Dirty play by Dort. He's jumping in PG landing space as PG grabs a defensive rebound. No idea why lt wasn't a flagrant to be honest. Unnecessary play by Dort who's jumping at PG as if he's contesting a shot

It didn’t look good at all. Looked like his knee inverted

I don't know, did Dort swing his right leg out into his space or is he just landing after jumping for the ball as well?

Dort is jumping forward into PG's landing space. PG went straight up for an uncontested rebound. He wasn't even close to getting the rebound

A player does not have "landing space" in the paint. Not when going up for a rebound or when trying to score. There was no rule violation by Dort on that play.

If a player is jumping into the space of a player coming down and vulnerable, it's dangerous, period. Because if it's dangerous on the offensive end and it's the same thing, it does not make a difference, no matter the context

I didn't think it was a malicious play but regardless of intent, hopefully it wasn't as bad as it looked and PG makes a speedy recovery.

That injury looks sickening in slow-mo. Feel bad for PG, injury after injury. One of my favorite players, seems like a decent dude too. Hope he recovers and doesn't decline in play.

Nah, that was a normal basketball play. Dort was tracking the ball for an offensive rebound with no apparent ill intent.

Unlucky break for PG though, it looked pretty bad.

Didn’t the same looking injury happen to Giannis in the playoffs two years ago? Looks bad but have to wait for an MRI. Hopefully nothing structural.

Agree, I hope the MRI comes back with good news and his season isn't over.

But if he didn't jump forward how could he get closer to that rebound? That's always the situation of off/def rebounds - sometimes you need to get out of your own cylinder to fight for one.

Dort wasn't looking, yeah a bit reckless play (at most) but I wouldn't call it dirty or malicious. That little swipe from his right leg was just momentum.

For it to be dirty, Dort would have had intent. I don't see dirty intent. I saw an unfortunate circumstance while he went for the ball. He wasn't even looking at PG on the way up.

I swear we’re in a simulation the way the same injury prone players keep having “freak” accidents. Its very draining to see the same key guys keep going down over and over again.

George will probably need a psychiatrist once its all said and done for this kind of emotional roller coaster.

PG needs to protect himself more considering his injury history, not like Dort wasn't in his line of sight.
