JB is from Marietta, maybe he wants to come home and would sign an extension for the Hawks. I remember him wearing a Falcons hat to a post game press conference during their playoff run last year.

ATL could offer a trade package built around DJ Murray, a young player, and/or draft compensation.

But from the outside, with how successful Boston has been, I can't see him not resigning there.

I would do a straight up swap of Beal for Brown. Would even drive Beal to the airport if that's what it took.

BOS:
Bradley Beal
'26 NYK FRP (unprotected)
'25 MIL FRP (protected 1-5) + '25 unprotected swap rights

NYK:
Jaylen Brown
Danilo Gallinari

WSH:
RJ Barrett
Evan Fournier
'23 DAL FRP (protected 1-10)
'23-26 WSH FRP (protected 1-14, 1-12, 1-10, 1-8)
'24 NYK FRP (unprotected)

- Washington pivots to a retool around a younger core.
- Boston replaces Brown with Tatum's bff and a couple more picks with which to chase someone like Lauri.
- NYK sends picks to everyone to upgrade their big 3 and keeps the DET FRP + Toppin to turn Gallo into DFS.

look, it's clear what's gonna happen.

Tatum and Beal are gonna talk, the Wizards are trash and going nowhere. Tatum is gonna be convinced that Beal is the guy that will help him win. Tatum is gonna talk to the FO, Brad Stevens is going to give in, Beal will agree to be traded to Boston. The Wizards will get back Jaylen Brown and Rob Williams who will be a dead contract at that point due to injury

1) Josh Giddey/Lou Dort and filler for Jaylen Brown. Okc could add some picks.

Since last year, i believe that Giddey would thrive in Boston. They are a clever team but still they need playmaking and bbiq. Giddey offers both of them, he is brilliant and promising. Dort is also Celtics material. Dort/White/Smart/Grant, a lot of tough dudes here. Giddey/Tatum will be their stars. I am not trolling as Bucks fan and Celtics "enemy". I sincerely believe in Giddey.
OKC could compete immediately next year with Brown. SGA/Brown and their youngsters. Of course they need a third great player. They have one hundred picks, they can acquire this player.

2) Karl Anthony Towns for Jaylen Brown and filler

Probably no Celtics or Wolves fan would like that.
However, ANT/Brown/McDaniels/Anderson/Gobert seems to me a great starting 5.
And for Celtics, they need a center who can shoot, because Horford is getting old. KAT is elite shooter at 5. Creates spacing for Tatum. Yes, he is a weak defender but Celtics have great defenders (White/Smart/Tatum/Grant etc). Timelord is a good player but he is probably injury prone. Celtics definitely need a big who can space the floor as Horford does all these years. There are some concerns about KAT mentality, but he is still a smart dude. I think he can adjust there.

3) Middleton for Jaylen Brown.

A healthy Middleton will be deadly in Celtics uniform. As a Bucks fan, the only reason i would consider this trade is because i am not sure that Khris will be fully healthy again. Jaylen Brown is top 25 player, a Jrue/JB/Giannis big three seems unstoppable. However, Khris is a better fit with Giannis. I don't know then. There is a strong possibility that Giannis and Brown don't like each other much, so i rescind this offer :)

I could see this. Wizards sell Brown on the idea of being a franchise player, being the man on the team and possibly making All-NBA and getting the supermax.

Jaylen Brown and either Pritchard or Muscala (for salary matching) straight up for Trae Young would be a fun reset for each team. ATL to add picks if compensation is not sufficient.

As a duly appointed representative of all Celtic's fans all over the entire world I officiall say "NO STINKING WAY!!!!!!!!" We wouldn't trade a bad of rotten apples for Young. The guy is so bad on defense that he basically destroys any chance a team has of winning with him on the floor. Thank you, but no thank you!!!

Love how people make these claims based on absolutely nothing.

Trae this year
-0.4 Defensive EPM, -0.8 defensive raptor

Best of his career….still a negative yes but nowhere close to “so bad on defense that he basically destroys any chance a team has of winning with him on the floor.”

And funny thing is Trae has the best net rating and on/off on the hawks by a solid margin.

cmon man. Nobody is trading anything of value for Middleton. Guys coming off injuries and playing their worst ball in their 30's on big contracts hold no value. See Klay Thompson who is 2 years post injury and a borderline negative player and certainly a negative contract.

As long as it's not Utah, I'm sure JB would be open to going anywhere that's not Boston.

I see your point, that's why i wrote that "i am not sure that Khris will be fully healthy again". Khris is a shooter and shooter's game ages well but definitely he doesn't seem like a max contract player nowadays. Still, he is getting better game by game and he could probably help us getting the 'ship this year. In any case, this is not a good trade for Bucks or Celtics, both of them have much to lose, depending if he stays healty or not.
