I was just about to say the same, except Caged Lion 1.0 was a paper lion

We all talk about Mike Connelly knowing how to feed Gobert, but will Mike’s years with Mark Gasol help him with KAT?

This is great news. Home against the Hawks on 3/22 or against GSW on 3/26 make sense. Hopefully earlier, but we can't rush things.

I doubt it will be that far out. He's likely talking about the "Stay in Shape League". I remember JMac did that on a Wednesday and Friday before making his debut on Sunday. Maybe Towns won't quite be that fast, but I don't think it will be two weeks if everything goes well unless they want to insert him in the starting lineups with full minutes immediately.

Still doubt me?

KAT is officially back in the lineup night. Can't wait. Although, I think it's a very interesting situation for Finch. Like Kyle Anderson has to close no matter what right? They're going to have to rotate KAT and Gobert on offense and defense down the stretch if everyone is healthy.

Hallelujah! Easter came early this year.

There is a great article on ESPN on Towns' injury. It talks about his setbacks, how he is learning the game from the sideline, trying to watch games in the tunnel, and keeping a journal. I think the Wolves organization could be a little more forthcoming on some of that information on Towns journey back. Especially, for diehard fans on this site and keep everyone interested in the team.

I remembered last night and I was thinking "Has it really been 2 weeks since we had that discourse?" and sure enough it was. March is flying by.

Out 51 games … you’d think he has decided no more whining and just being tougher… we shall see.

Some things I noticed during ATL games. I know it is first Towns game after four months, but still:

+ his postups and back to the basket game is so important for us. This is something that balance our offense

+ his mid range shots is very important thing to play alongside Gobert

+ slashing game is there and kick out passes too

- after one of his dunks he was dead last to come back in transition, that's why Conley had to defend Okongwu which resulted in early foul

- moving screens are still moving

- he forced a few passes, was too fancy

- while he was disciplined enough to not to leave his man on perimeter, he messed up a few defensive rotations

- he committed a weak foul fighting for offensive rebound

Fans forgot how good Karl Anthony Towns is. There’s a reason why he’s a 3x All Star, 2x All NBA player. KAT is a true 3 level scorer who can dominate mismatches in the post with his hook shot. He can also shoot the mid range pick and pop or extend his range past the 3 point line.

Everyone is so worried about whose “team” it is but we need him and ANT to both be elite. Neither can do it alone. 8 games to go for the final push of the season.

Should be a fun ride we have been waiting all season to see everyone on the court together.

Did he look a bit pudgy to anyone else?

Has starring at Gobert and ANT for 51 games do that to me?

KAT needs to be more selfish and attempt more 3's

I prefer him being a bit pudgy to him being in that toothpick stage.

He had major injuries to his calf, I assume he did some conditioning, but can't imagine he's back into tiptop shake just yet.

Well, without Edwards we need 20-25 pts from Towns, but rather than forcing him to take 7-8 threes I prefer to see him controlling high paced, well balanced offense.

52* Dewfus and he didn't seem to complain much against ATL.

He's gained some weight, but that's to be expected with that type of injury (not like he can get much cardio in with a torn calf muscle).

He is chubby probably from the lack of cardio with the calf but I like him at 250+ then then 225-230 he came into the season with.

At 250, he can post up anyone in the league and it’s a mismatch.

He was skinny in the beginning of the season and was lacking power in his post up.
