Those things aren't really his fault. If he was making Corey Joseph money or less, and we didn't draft him, I don't think people would be complaining. He actually has some nice qualities if you don't get hyper-focused on the shooting woes. He can run an offense, accurate passer, has good size for the position and plays hard. If his shooting comes around he's a starting quality guard. If it doesn't improve much (needs to improve at least a little) he's still a decent backup. Now If Weaver gives him some crazy extension like he did for Bagley than yeah I'll be ticked off.
Killian's draft position absolutely plays a large role in how people feel about him. That also cuts both ways.
Being a high draft is really the primary reason that a lot of people are still holding out hope that he's going to eventually become a steady player. At this point I think its quite safe to say that he will never become a legit impact player. Honestly, he needs to take a big leap to even be a consistently average player. Yet, there are still a lot of people out there that are willing to continue to give him more rope.
If Killian was drafted in the Saben Lee slot and not #7, it would be basically a consensus among Piston fans that the team should cut bait with Hayes.
Who are these people who are willing to give Killian more rope?
Seems the consensus is that at best he MIGHT become a decent back up PG.
Might become a decent back up PG isn't willing to give him more rope

The Detroit shouldn't trade or give up on Killian because he's only played x number of games crowd.
